2025 was a massive year for Greece, and for Stylianos Farantakis in particular. Fortunately things have only gone 1 way for the past 15 years, where Greece slowly started to build a solid base.
The first couple of years didn't really show remarkable progress, but Perikles Ilias and Georgios Tzortzakis showed they were individually capable of doing solid performances across multiple levels. When Tzortzakis in 2016 scored 688 points it seemed like an unbreakable record - and it was for several years. The highest scoring riders, Panagiotis Vlatos wasn't able to get it just right, despite being incredibly consistent in the years of 2016 to 2023 scoring between 328-552 points each season (with 2022 being a negative outlier with just 182 points). After Miltiadis Giannoutsos took his first step as a leader he, however immidiately showed that if you get things just right, it could indeed be possible to beat those 688 points, so in 2023 he did just that, and the year after also Stylianos Farantakis managed to beat the old record - albeit just shy of a new record score. That cannot be said about this season, however! A whooping 1670 points scored is not alone a record, it's more than double that of the previous record. And in fact he alone would have been better than the entire nation throughout 2011-2019! What a season!
| Year | Points | Best Rider | Points | | 2025 | 5577 | Stylianos Farantakis | 1670 | | 2024 | 4398 | Stylianos Farantakis | 712 | | 2023 | 3581 | Miltiadis Giannoutsos | 722 | | 2022 | 2652 | Stylianos Farantakis | 319 | | 2021 | 2556 | Panagiotis Vlatos | 552 | | 2020 | 1745 | Panagiotis Vlatos | 495 | | 2019 | 1335 | Panagiotis Vlatos | 346 | | 2018 | 1240 | Panagiotis Vlatos | 485 | | 2017 | 684 | Panagiotis Vlatos | 328 | | 2016 | 1340 | Georgos Tzortzakis | 688 | | 2015 | 1090 | Georgos Tzortzakis | 634 | | 2014 | 558 | Georgos Tzortzakis | 201 | | 2013 | 598 | Perikles Ilias | 233 | | 2012 | 70 | Georgos Tzortzakis | 69 | | 2011 | 3 | Georgos Tzortzakis | 3 |
The rider, crowned his season by breaking into the ranks of "Titan" as the 2nd only ever greek rider. The other being Panagiotis Vlatos, who landed that honor in the fall of 2023. There is now only 341 points for Farantakis to become the greatest ever greek rider, and with Vlatos having likely scored his final points in this season, it seems very likely that the nation have a new target by the end of the season! Despite making a massive headstart for himself, Farantakis can't sit completely at ease in the leaders seat, as Miltiadis Giannoutsos is "only" trailing by 812 points. And while we can expect that lead to increase in the next couple of years, we have to take into account the 2 years age cap between them. And with Giannoutsos currently averaging 625 points per season, Farantakis would need atleast 1250 points of gap to realistically lead the charts by the time Giannoutsos decide to stop riding. And the GC leader is still training eligeble for another 2 seasons not to forget!

Despite having a massive season, Stylianos Farantakis is still not the rider with the most amount of top results in the races he has attended. That is Miltiadis Giannoutsos. Stylianos Farantakis is however the record holder of most top results in races that are currently on the racing calender, where Giannoutsos landed a couple of decent results in his early years loaned out to smaller teams.
In the final list you can see how well Greece performs in a race-to-race schedule, ranked from highest to lowest in the current racing calender.

We have an active ambtion in securing top 20 in every single race on the active calender, and if we look at the PT calender, we are very close to the target, as only East Midlands Cicle Classic, Tirreno-Adriatico, GP Liechtenstein, Tour of Tasmania and Fleche Wallonne are yet to be achieved. While the latter could prove difficult, the others should be within a reasonable chance in the years to come.
At PTHC level, which we can also somewhat control ourselves are another short list of races: Tour of East Java, Clasica San Sebastian, Grand Prix Cycliste, Riga - Jurmala GP, Japan Cup. A couple of those are also hilly races which makes it difficult given the current rider pool, while the other races are relatively realistic to achieve.
At HC level we also see a solid list of Greek succes with just 4 races yet to achieve, but at C1 and C2 level we can clearly see other teams needing to chip in with a massive 26 races not yet accomplished! So we need your help - And also, it is a very cool way to re-write history as several of those races are easy to accomplish, even without the top 10 strongest Greek riders.

Time to take a deep dive into the ocean of developments for the team. The future core of leaders and domestiques is not something to be forgotten, and thus we try to always stay relevant for future seasons.
Here is the expected developments. We have listed the riders future XP and age.
| Panagiotis Karatsivis | 4.100 | 25yo | Stage Racer | €70.000 |
| FL | MO | MM | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CO | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | | 70 | 76 | 74 | 72 | 70 | 72 | 74 | 73 | 60 | 64 | 74 | 74 | 67 | 69 | | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | | | | | | ↓↓↓ | | 70 | 78 | 76 | 73 | 72 | 73 | 75 | 75 | 60 | 64 | 74 | 74 | 67 | 71 |
Karatsivis is easily the biggest talents to come through in recent years, and a very young one also. He is taking major steps towards being a useful leader. For the upcoming season he will often take on a free role, and might be looking to get a decent U25 result here and there.
| Martinos Moutsios | 4.100 | 25yo | Time-Triallist | €50.000 |
| FL | MO | MM | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CO | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | | 73 | 61 | 62 | 63 | 76 | 73 | 71 | 67 | 65 | 68 | 73 | 70 | 67 | 76 | | ↓↓↓ | | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | | | | ↓↓↓ | | ↓↓↓ | | 75 | 61 | 63 | 64 | 78 | 74 | 73 | 69 | 65 | 68 | 73 | 71 | 67 | 78 |
The timetrial department of the team is very strong, and with Moutsious coming through the ranks it's not looking likely to be changing anytime soon. Just like Karatsivis he too could be a decent U25 fit in certain races.
| Scott Davies | 4.100 | 31yo | Stage Racer | €50.000 |
| FL | MO | MM | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CO | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | | 65 | 73 | 72 | 70 | 74 | 71 | 72 | 73 | 55 | 61 | 69 | 64 | 65 | 74 | | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | | | | | | ↓↓↓ | | 65 | 75 | 73 | 71 | 76 | 72 | 73 | 75 | 55 | 61 | 69 | 64 | 65 | 76 |
The brit is a late bloomer, but what a wonderful statline, as he joins an elite group of very attractive GC riders that will excel in depth points from multiple races. He fits our team perfectly as we have quite a lot of riders like him.
| Ioannis Varotsos | 4.00 | 24yo | Roulleur | €70.000 |
| FL | MO | MM | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CO | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | | 76 | 62 | 64 | 66 | 73 | 71 | 71 | 66 | 63 | 69 | 69 | 72 | 68 | 73 | | ↓↓↓ | | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | | | ↓↓↓ | | 78 | 62 | 65 | 67 | 75 | 73 | 72 | 68 | 63 | 71 | 70 | 72 | 68 | 75 | | ↓↓↓ | | | | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | | | ↓↓↓ | | 80 | 62 | 65 | 67 | 77 | 74 | 73 | 69 | 63 | 72 | 71 | 72 | 68 | 77 |
Apart from Karatsivis, Varotsos is likely the biggest greek talent to come through our ranks in several years. He will take a year as a domestique in the flats aswell as the timetrials, but after that he will be chasing his own chances on the flats.
| Mats Wenzel | 4.00 | 24yo | Stage Racer | €50.000 |
| FL | MO | MM | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CO | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | | 67 | 71 | 71 | 70 | 71 | 72 | 71 | 70 | 60 | 58 | 70 | 65 | 68 | 72 | | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | | | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | | ↓↓↓ | | 68 | 73 | 73 | 72 | 73 | 74 | 73 | 72 | 60 | 58 | 71 | 66 | 68 | 74 | | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | | | | | | ↓↓↓ | | 69 | 75 | 74 | 73 | 74 | 76 | 74 | 74 | 60 | 58 | 71 | 66 | 68 | 75 |
Similar to Davies, Wenzel is among those very attractive GC riders. The main difference is age, and thus making Wenzel a very trainable future leader, as his backups and acceleration should make for a solid GC prospect.
| Kamiel Bonneu | 4.00 | 27yo | Puncheur | €50.000 |
| FL | MO | MM | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CO | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | | 69 | 65 | 69 | 72 | 58 | 74 | 71 | 64 | 62 | 60 | 67 | 65 | 62 | 58 | | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | | 70 | 66 | 72 | 75 | 59 | 76 | 72 | 65 | 62 | 61 | 69 | 67 | 63 | 59 | | | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | | | | 70 | 66 | 74 | 77 | 59 | 77 | 74 | 66 | 62 | 62 | 71 | 68 | 63 | 59 |
A talented belgian puncheur, who have the engine for the long an endurant one day races. He will have another year as a traditional domestique before stepping up to become a very good lieutenaint in the ardennes.
| Alexander Hajek | 3.00 | 23yo | Puncheur | €85.000 |
| FL | MO | MM | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CO | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | | 67 | 68 | 69 | 70 | 60 | 69 | 70 | 68 | 57 | 58 | 66 | 64 | 71 | 57 | | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | | | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | | 67 | 72 | 73 | 73 | 61 | 71 | 72 | 71 | 57 | 58 | 68 | 66 | 71 | 58 | | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | | 69 | 74 | 77 | 78 | 62 | 76 | 74 | 73 | 57 | 61 | 72 | 69 | 73 | 59 |
One of two very talented austrian talents that came into our development setup late this transferseason - The development is in great progress and Hajek could develop in multiple directions regarding hills, mountains and medium mountains. This might not prove to be his actual path.
| Marco Schrettl | 3.00 | 23yo | Puncheur | €85.000 |
| FL | MO | MM | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CO | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | | 64 | 67 | 69 | 71 | 58 | 68 | 71 | 66 | 55 | 56 | 65 | 60 | 71 | 59 | | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | | | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | | 64 | 71 | 73 | 74 | 59 | 70 | 73 | 69 | 55 | 56 | 67 | 62 | 71 | 60 | | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | | 66 | 72 | 77 | 79 | 61 | 74 | 75 | 71 | 55 | 59 | 71 | 66 | 72 | 61 |
Similar to Hajek, Schrettl joined late in the window, and is a massive talent. He also shows great promiss in all of the climbing departments, and could take alternative routes to make a perfect fit to an allround team strategy.
| Edgar Andres Pinzon | 3.00 | 25yo | Climber | €50.000 |
| FL | MO | MM | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CO | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | | 65 | 70 | 69 | 67 | 55 | 69 | 73 | 68 | 59 | 64 | 68 | 67 | 65 | 55 | | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | | | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | | | 65 | 72 | 70 | 68 | 55 | 71 | 75 | 69 | 59 | 64 | 69 | 68 | 67 | 55 | | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | | | 68 | 76 | 73 | 69 | 55 | 74 | 79 | 71 | 60 | 64 | 71 | 73 | 72 | 55 |
It came as a big surprise when we were able to steal Pinzon for minimum fee, as he is a crafted mountains specialist, with an amazing engine. He could even be trained further to really enhance his chances of KOM and stage succes.

I should do the most insane thing and bring back Altur, because i've not tortured myself quite enough in the MG.

His decline has basically undone the training as well, it's like a match made in heaven.

We are happy to announce our new jerseys for the upcoming season, and what better way to do so than to give our very own World Champion, Georgios Boutopoulos a montage to show off his incredible jersey!
We are also happy to present the new design for the remaining riders in the team!
Finally a great image of the different jerseys of next season!

@TheManxMissile
Altur would love to help you get a good start with your new setup - I very much agree with whitejersey
@Fabianski and Heine
If he was he probably wouldn't have been available. He really worked well in the build up for Farantakis. I hope Varotsos is ready to do that instead, despite not quite having the strenght of versatility of Cavagna. We'll see

I feel Boutopoulos should have surpassed Titan and gone stairght in as Greek God on the rankings!
look forward to your usual wheeling and dealing can see the usual tactic of buying a couple of talent unwanted and making them useable is already in full swing fully expect another Sotd masterclass this year! |

Wenzel has developed into such a cool support piece, love what you've done with some of your talents.
Also, the kit is sexy and you're turning into an AI master with some of the graphics
I'm sure we'll be in touch, with or without my consent

Last season was a very good one as the first one back in PT. The Greek talent factory also keeps on churning out new stars!
WC jersey looking really good along with the new design for the main jersey. Some snazzy graphics on top of that

@jt1109
That's a very good point. He really should get a push into Titan - I am heavily considering training him for the sake of honoring him. It makes no sense, and it's way too expensive, but he does deserve something.
Yeah, strategy is mostly the same. Strengthen the weak spots with foreigners, and signing a couple of talents that others doesn't really want for some reason.
@Booker
Yeah Wenzel is among my favorite talents aswell. A bit sad he's not greek. Otherwise he would have gotten massive amounts of training
Thanks a lot. It's still early days with graphics and design, so probably a lot of mistakes, but it's fun to play with! - I'm sure I'll reach out during transfers
@knockout
Thanks a lot mate. I'm pretty happy with it myself
@AbhishekLFC
Thanks a lot mate - Yeah the next big star is ready now, and can be trained next season. So I also have to consider whether or not it's a good idea to train this season or save up.
