Congrats on the promotion! As bbl says, great way to finish the T3A project.
As somehow still after 10 seasons one of the MG's resident youngsters, I also actually have no idea what this new sponsor is about. However you might be right about it being special sauce, because as a fan of one of those other three teams with broken financials, who still hold one of the worst records in baseball, there must be something else going on

11/06/24 - knockout said "Winning is fine I guess. Truth be told this felt completely unimportant." [PT] Xero Racing
@red - Miko is certainly not allowed anywhere near the team car
The Great Big "And That's A Good Night From Him" Post
No it's not a sudden announcement we're quitting the game to allow SEE Turtles a spot in the PCT (but if anyone else wants to make that valiant sacrifice?). It's just the final post of Podium Ambition.
The era of Ewan, Yates, Thomas that climbed to the Pro Tour. The era of the Pirates that climbed to the Pro Continental Tour. Podium Ambition has been around the MG for a long time now.
When the Pirates previously promoted, it was heavily carried by the Aussies. This time, doing it entirely ourselves, feels a hundred times better. It really was a team effort too. Lagane is the headliner, but we needed all the scoring. Chequans career-best season. Mayer's late surge. Majors constant drip feed of sprints. Gonzalez selection of U25 jerseys. Norbert, Hennis, Campbell. It all added up to 5th, just what we needed.
But we won't overlook the past influences either. Croes stunning ride atop Willunga Hill to nearly conquer the world. Marte's determination to reverse the turn of the earth. Alexander's push to podium Avenir. Le Courts collection of nearly wins. Darren Matthews years as a leader! Vanderpool being just a fun story. Perez powering a TTT train towards towering top step success.
There were many hard years. Entirely self inflicted, well aware of that. But because it's a choice it was still fun, just being goofy and knowing that eventually we will get our reward.
Podium Ambition has been fun. It's been to every corner of the MG, it even had a Dev Team. The next phase is going to be just as silly, just as alternative, but hopefully with a lot more freedom to generate results that drive this whole thing forwards. Thank you for dealing with this insanity for many years, onwards to new insanity!
We'll see you in a new HQ soon. To prepare i'm making a business trip to Japan to personally check in on the new sponsors. And... oooohhh... you're going to love the jersey! It might be a new era, a new team, but you know a TMM team is going to have a hell of a jersey!
