This is the Mayer experience. Brief flares of talent followed by insane flailing. Not great when you're deep in a promotion battle.

Really happy with that Eriksson stage win. Not at all expected. He really could have used those gap seconds though, as we're going to lose a vast amount of minutes in the TTT |

I was a bit in doubt whether we would ride for Choi or Rodriguez. Guess that was settled already on S1. Not much else to report from our side. Rodriguez in the mix in the finals but only 1 bonus second gained so far.

Nice work by Godon and Narvaez, particularly on stage 2, when they both grabbed bonus seconds. Osorio in the front group on both stages as well although would have traded that in stage 2 for getting the gap on some of the others.
Race could still break many different ways. After Sosa tanked in Morocco we will need a big race here.

Quiet stage for us. Good to save some energy for the next stage, I think.
Excited to see how the team will handle the TTT as our GC leader is our weakest time-trialist.

Congrats to sean for keeping the CT streak going!
Not entirely sure why Boileau was our card for today but it definitely worked out well enough. Cool to see him finally get a result of his own after lieutenanting for APP all season.

Absolutely unreal race from Sagan so far, completely unexpected but I'm loving it. He'll lose time in the TTT for sure but hopefully some more good stage placings are on the cards!

Decent stage from Storer for 7th, he doesn't quite have the punch to really contest for wins on these sorts of stages. Great that he, Sam, Castrillo and Cosnefroy are all within firing distance going into the TTT. Need a big win on Stage 4 to go for that GC!
Thanks for the reports so far

I had to go read this report twice because I couldn't believe it! This man is supposed to be a domestique and now he's finding his way to the line - what a surprise result.
Some great results for CT here - although I can't say I'm quite as excited about Mayer's success as TMM is. But wow, what a way to try to turn things around for the race - maybe we do have a shot after all.
No idea what our team will try to do in this TTT.

Another stage navigated, would love to see Narvaez better positioned in the sprint but he picked up a few bonus seconds. TTT tomorrow will be decisive. Mainly in who gets dropped I think, more so than the gaps.
Great win by Vermaeke, love to see a young American getting the win. Congrats to Sean. CT dominating this race so far.

Great win and we occupy the top 3 places which is great! The not so great part is Storer being dropped and now not really in GC contention. Going to be a big ask for Sam, Cosnefroy and Castrillo to stick with the leading bunch over the next 2 stages but fingers crossed they can do it!
