Stage 6 Report

Stage 6 takes the riders 184k to Murcia. Officially rated hilly, the last climb peaks about 19 from the end so it wouldnâ€™t be surprising if the peloton let the break have it again. Two cat 3s and two sprints today. Because of the flat finish the stage awards 50 points to the winner.

Despite the benign finish the organizers think the GC guys will fight it out.

The break rides through the sprint without contesting it. Their lead is just 3â€™41 with 90k to go. Peloton much more motivated today â€“ UBS, Fastned, Rabobank, Carlsberg and Gazelle all working.

40k now. The break also ignored the second sprint. They are on the first Cat 3, it is 4.7k at 7%. They will do the climb twice. Buratti was dropped as soon as the road went uphill. Peloton at 1â€™49.
