We are here for the first 3 km, then it is just race and hope as few sprinters as possible get bonus seconds
Thanks for the preview!

Thanks for the preview, Laurens (and especially for putting Rajovic high enough to at least give me a glimpse of hope)!
With not even an opportunity for some random KoM points it's all about avoiding a zero-pointer here. Some breakaway appearances would be nice ...

Debated sending Peak here and thought the field would be quite strong, so opted for Denmark instead. That turned out to be a bit of a disaster, so hopefully Zariff can pick up a few solid results to help make up for it, in a weaker field than I expected.
Curious to see how the prologue plays out, thought it might suit Pithie and Evangelos but expect it will be quite random. |

Very important race and one Dainese has done well in, in the past. Stage 1 will be about limiting losses, then hope we can make a mark one the sprint stages.
Thanks for the preview!

Feels good to have a good result for once after a rough few weeks both IRL and in MG.
Thanks for the report!

From a promotion perspective, basically the worst possible result for us on stage 1 here. But more than happy to put that aside to celebrate a win for WJ!
Zariff managed to limit his losses to the other sprinters, and the gaps aren't too huge throughout the field so hopefully he can fight for a top 10 on GC. Would be great if we could get one of the Pithie/Mihkels/Evangelos trio into the break to get some bonus seconds as well, though not expecting it. |

Jiang with a decent effort. Not expected given the cobbles. Kamberaj with a decent start, but he has to deliver now

Congratulations, wj! It's clearly a well deserved win after the last weeks. Totally missed out (or forgot) about the cobbles here, but bringing our better flat riders aka the cobbles squad clearly fluked us some points here, not only for the stage (and maybe even the GC) but also in the team classification. It won't amount to much in the end without some breakaway miracle, but we'll take it.

Not expecting much, but Adomaitis could use his Jurmala form for another good home result.
Kuroeda in the top15 is a nice start. Adomaitis not far off too
Congrats on the win WJ!

Not a bad start. I wasn't really expecting anymore then that because of the cobbles.
Coquard not too far away which is good so we will see how he goes in the 4 flat stages. Hopefully he can go 1 spot better on GC this season!
Congrats WJ on the win and thanks for the report!
