Varga was by far the strongest rider from the breakaway today and now he will take the race on his own

Debesay was reeled in back in the pack. But the last escapee left on the road was no where in sight!

Varga had a little over 1 minute and a half as he entered the final 10k of the race. 5k later, he had lost about only 30 seconds. He is looking very strong and he is exactly the type of rider that could held off a pack in this scenario! But let's see if he can do it after a day in the breakaway

The pack won some time pack in the next kilometers, but it was just not enough to get close to the Hungarian. pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2025/Micros/zal.png

Varga entered the final kilometer with an advantage of about 1 minute. The stage win is his, the KoM jersey is his, the points jersey will be his, but can he take yellow as well? He started the day 1 minute and 4 seconds behind, but thanks to the intermediate sprints he is now only 56 seconds behind. And there's of course 20 bonus seconds for the stage winner!
