Eleven riders get away to form the early break:
Castellon Aman, Pickering Pickrell, Skala, Mudgway Per Hashikawa, Hayashibara Ganjkhanlou Moiruri. Their lead extends to a maximum of 5'30".
With 100 km to go, Assa Abloy, Bralirwa, Bianchi, Duvel, MOL and McCormick are on the front.
Hayashibara is dropped and caught with 63 km to go. Pickering and Mudgway are caught with 53 km to go.
Pibernik and Johannessen attack with 42 km left. They catch the break 7 km later. However the lead is down to just 15 seconds.
The break is caught just a kilometer later. 130 riders left in the pack.
Ardila, Carretero Milan, Roman, Januskevicius and Seibeb get away 8 km later.
They are caught after 5 km.
Roman and Januskevicius get away again almost immediately. The peloton are down to 101.
Januskevicius is caught with 20 km left.
Roman is caught 6 km later.
Just a kilometer later, Ardila, Moscon, Amezawa, Gesbert, Lyu and Paret-Peintre attack!
Tesfatsion is dropped with 10 km to go.
Sosa is catching up to the earlier six attackers. Stocek is attacking out of the group behind, which has only 13 riders now! 6 km to go.
The attackers are caught after a couple of kilometers. The lead group is down to 16. Min and Faglum Karlsson are the latest to be dropped.
Paret-Peintre, Roman and Debesay are dropped next.
Next to be dropped are Gesbert, Stocek, Montenegro, Errazkin and Mansouri.
Eight riders remain in the lead group with 2 km to go - Ardila, Moscon, Sosa, Amezawa, Lyu, Quita, Burke and Govekar. The Gesbert group is 20 seconds down.
The two groups come together 500 meters later.
With 800 meter to go, Ardila, Moscon, Amezawa, Lyu and Govekar have a gap to the front.
Quita, Montenegro and Burke are in the next group.
Sosa and Govekar are being distanced 400 meters from the finish.
Ardila is at the finish inside the final 200 meters. Amezawa is coming up fast.
The situation is the same with 100 meters to go.
Amezawa blitzes through to take the win!
Moscon pips Ardila on the line for 2nd. Lyu takes 4th, ahead of Sosa.
Govekar is 6th, ahead of Quita.
Errazkin, Montenegro and Burke make up positions 8th to 10th.
Stocek is 11h.
Roman, Gee, Conti and Mansouri complete the Top 15.
Today's winner - Takeaki Amezawa.
Amezawa puts aside his less than spectacular season to take the win with an impressive finish today. Moscon continues his and his team's great season with 2nd. Ardila had to settle for 3rd in the end after leading for almost the entire final kilometer, but still this should be a satisfactory result for hsi team.
