First in line stage of the Swedish race and the sprinters are dominating the favorites list: pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2025/Micros/kmm.png Bol, pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2025/Micros/kno.png Manninen and pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2025/Micros/tzk.png Walscheid

The sprint finish seems inevitable today and with only one categorized climb on the road (though winning it could set you up for winning the classification at the end of the race), only two riders were interested in joining the breakaway today: pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2025/Micros/see.png Singh and pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2025/Micros/mol.png Moricz
pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2025/Reports/C2/Uppsala/s2/1.jpg

pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2025/Micros/see.png Singh won the first intermediate sprint in front of pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2025/Micros/mol.png Moricz, but behind them in the pack we had a proper fight for the last 2 points and 1 bonus second with pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2025/Micros/tzk.png Walscheid beating pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2025/Micros/gla.png Plowright by a matter of centimeters
pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2025/Reports/C2/Uppsala/s2/2.jpg

Same order at the second intermediate sprint between the escapees. In the pack, pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2025/Micros/pbc.png Kopfauf took advantage of the sprinters being forced to open the sprint quite early and took the last bonus second in front of the same pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2025/Micros/tzk.png Walscheid and pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2025/Micros/eth.png Perera
pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2025/Reports/C2/Uppsala/s2/3.jpg

pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2025/Micros/see.png Singh is the best sprint in the front duo and he took advantage of it once again on the only categorized climb of the day. Distinctive jersey for the Indian rider at the end of the stage and first change on winning the classification all together
pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2025/Reports/C2/Uppsala/s2/4.jpg

The pack seemed quite confident today that they could easily reel back in the breakaway and even though they gave them even 8 minutes advantage at some points, with 25 km to go we had a compact peloton at the front of the race. And quite soon after that we saw the trains starting to form

pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2025/Micros/kno.png Kone-Nordea, pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2025/Micros/eth.png Ethiopian Airlines and pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2025/Micros/kmm.png Kraftwerk Man Machine. pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2025/Micros/ple.png Parmalat - Ecopetrol also trying to set something up, but not quite able to organize themselves properly even though they seemed to have the numbers at the front of the pack
pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2025/Reports/C2/Uppsala/s2/5.jpg

And they never really did manage to set something up. As the proper sprint was kicked off it was the three original trains still going strong at the front with pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2025/Micros/eth.png Chavanne leading the way. No personal ambitions for extra bonus seconds for him today and probably not in the remaining stages either
pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2025/Reports/C2/Uppsala/s2/6.jpg

While pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2025/Micros/eth.png Ethiopian Airlines seemed to have a slight edge at the first, once the last lead-outs launched, pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2025/Micros/kno.png Kone-Nordea took the lead with pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2025/Micros/kno.png Kiskonen looking really strong and also taking advantage of better positioning in the corner with 1.5k to go
pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2025/Reports/C2/Uppsala/s2/7.jpg

pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2025/Micros/kno.png Kiskonen still in the lead under the flamme rouge and his slipstream seems to be the one to follow. pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2025/Micros/kno.png Manninen is obviously right behind him, closely followed by pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2025/Micros/gla.png Plowright and pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2025/Micros/kmm.png Bol who ditched his lead-out
pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2025/Reports/C2/Uppsala/s2/8.jpg

Sprinters left it really late in this one. pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2025/Micros/kno.png Kiskonen sits down in the final bend of the road, but pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2025/Micros/kno.png Manninen has not yet launched from behind his wheel and neither have other sprinters, with pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2025/Micros/eth.png Perera taking a very wide line from pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2025/Micros/eth.png Eislers' wheel
pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2025/Reports/C2/Uppsala/s2/9.jpg

pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2025/Micros/kno.png Kiskonen starts sprinting again after that and with only a few hundred meters left he is still leading the race. Could he bring the huge surprise winning as a lead-out thanks to that late tight corner?
pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2025/Reports/C2/Uppsala/s2/10.jpg

The Estonian has been in the wind for quite some time though and he is losing speed as the finish line approaches and the sprinters reach their top speed and he is overtaken by pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2025/Micros/gla.png Plowright with less than 200m to go
pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2025/Reports/C2/Uppsala/s2/11.jpg

pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2025/Micros/kno.png Kone-Nordea had the best train today and the sprinters who followed going into the last kilometer are the one stepping up on the podium today, but it's not their sprinter, pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2025/Micros/kno.png Manninen, who takes the win. The Finn is only second behind pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2025/Micros/gla.png Plowright, while pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2025/Micros/kmm.png Bol completes the podium
pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2025/Reports/C2/Uppsala/s2/12.jpg

That second place finish is just enough for pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2025/Micros/kno.png Manninen to take the yellow jersey from pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2025/Micros/pbc.png Kopfauf, who will drop just one place to second in the GC and will be wearing the green jersey tomorrow thanks to those 2 points gained at the intermediate sprint. pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2025/Micros/gla.png Plowright is a terrible prologue rider and despite today's win and 20 bonus seconds he still sits 55 seconds behind the leader in the 76th spot! pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2025/Micros/kmm.png Bol was also quite far down in the GC at the start of the day, but with that third place finish he is now knocking at the door of the top 10.
