Liepins is in good form, but I doubt he will survive those hills, and if he does, he won't win the mass sprint anyway

Strategy number 3 for the season on C2, routeurs. Really focused more on Hecht than Eekhoff, he has shown the ability to get in the late attack in other races this season and should be plenty strong enough to survive the hills if he gets some priority.

Maybe a mistake not to send Perera but I suspect the climbing would be too much for him. If it's not a selective race, maybe Chavanne can score some points; if it is, we have a few puncheurs and in Vendrame also a relatively quick one if there's a larger group but the sprinters are dropped. Unless we get seriously luck I think something in the top 5-10 range should be our goal here, but let's see.

Very frustrating to have completely missed the move, only picking up some very minor placing points. Total waste of race days made slightly better knowing that none of our leaders were there.

Wow, what a result for Ezee!  Congrats mate
I thought Eekhoff and Turgis would have the upperhand, but the numbers didn’t matter in the end. Good to see Chatarunga in the mix, very happy with 6th.

Very thankful that Montenegro made his way into the group of 12 - as the photos show we almost missed it. Montenegro really earning his spot in the team these last two months. Tivani doing well in the group sprint as well, so what was expected.
Great results from DeNA, Lotto and McCormick to earn points from PCT! Congrats Ezee for the big result.
