Stage 2 is the first chance for the sprinters. Two sprint points across 168k into Yuba City.

About 15k gone and two riders in the break, peloton doesn’t seem totally happy with this as they are keeping the lead just below 2 minutes. The two riders are pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2025/Micros/eus.png Garcia Pierna and pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2025/Micros/iec.png Verona, the latter just 9 seconds off the GC lead so that might be the concern.

By the time they reach the first sprint with 136k to go they appear to have given up and ride over it side-by-side. Their lead is down to 43 seconds. Garcia Perna appears to edge the sprint.
