Pretty much the perfect stats for Siric to get another top result here. I’m rooting for you to go one better this time. If Altur Can cling to his wheel Smile

Tadej Valjavec:

Our sponsors dictate that we aim to win this race. Tadej is capable, but going up against the best in the world will be hard. We don't have a lot of mountain support as we focused mostly on the team time-trial stage. Martin Papanov will be a key rider for Tadej and he showed some decent form in Portugal that hopefully carries over here.

Pretty amazing setup you have here. It will be very interesting to be here as an absolute sidenote, when riders like Lecuisinier and Pogacar throw themselves into the GC mix.

Ivan Siric bides his time before sprinting to yet another 2nd place finish in Rome

Martin Hvastija:

This was a great start to the season for Ivan. I think he made the right decision to not follow all of the attacks from the other riders. Maybe following David Per could have given him a chance at the win, but 2nd place is nothing to complain about. The main room for improvement is with our support riders to better help Ivan and finish higher themselves.

It's old reliable at this point, at least in Roma Maxima Pfft

Martin Hvastija:

We did a decent job for most of the race. We positioned well except until the very end. We couldn't stay with the main group and our chance for a top 10 finish slipped away. Michal in 12th is still a decent outcome and we don't underestimate the fact we got three more riders in the top 50.

Gorazd Stangelj:

While the general classification was never a target at this race, we should've attacked the race more and gone for KOM points. We didn't get enough from stage results and even with what looked like favourable parcours, Pascal could manage only a single podium finish. At this point the sample size is large enough to deduce that our transfer plans with him didn't pan out.

Tadej Valjavec:

Once we saw the competition at this race we realised that winning the race and accomplishing our goal was highly unlikely. The final podium spot was our new target. Luckily we were able to take advantage of our opponents not being at their best. Tadej quickly seized the initiative on the first mountain stage, just narrowly losing the uphill sprint. He went on the attack the next day trying to win the race, but he came up short and had to settle for a lower placing, but avoided losing time. Our 7 man TTT unit proved effective and cohesive, putting Tadej in a good position for the final stage. He was again just a bit short of winning the uphill sprint, but never looked in danger of losing his runner up spot in the general classification. Martin proved to be a reliable helper and finished a very credible 21st overall. A very good week for us in Italy in preparation for the Giro.

Good results in both the Italian races, but the other races left something to be desired. Hopefully riders other than Pogi and Siric can step up some more in the future races.

We were looking well on our way as we started the Poggio. But at soon as the attacks went our positioning went tits up and everything collapsed. Any type of race featuring hills has been an unmitigated disaster for us this season. We are not sure we can fix this issue.

It seems like an increasingly frustrating start of the season for you. Let's hope the March cobbles will deliver some better results!

With only 3 races in January we decided to wait until the 2nd update at the end of February. We sit in mid table which looks fine at first glance, but our PpRD puts us just above the relegation spots. For a quick recap we had good races in Qatar, Roma-Maxima and Tirreno. Grand Duche and Portugal were fine, but every other race was bad. In short this sort of tempo will only see us regress down the table. To top it off we are 0/1 in our sponsor goals. Improvement is needed in a hasty manner, but outside of relying on Ivan Siric in cobbled races it's hard to see where the points are coming from.

This was our and Pascal's best performance on this sort of undulating terrain. We're happy that we were able to get some better results, but we still feel we left some food on the table. Especially on that last stage. Our awareness and the positioning of Pascal was not good as he should've been able to do better than 5th. Winning the team classification was unexpected so that partly makes up for other mishaps.
