Free Agent Signing #4: Roger Adria
Roger Adria (27)| FL | MO | MM | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | | 72 | 73 | 74 | 75 | 66 | 75 | 73 | 66 | 58 | 73 | 74 | 68 | 68 | 68 |
We've further improved our squad by signing Roger Adria to a 50,000€ contract. Roger Adria is an amazingly versatile rider. He combines strong climbing abilities with fast sprinting abilities. He will play a crucial role in many hilly classics, but will also feature in mountain stage races. We are super exciting to have such a talented rider on this incredibly low wage.
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

Some very good signings at that wage. Looking like another strong season for you. Time to get the championship?

Free Agent Signing #5: German Dario Gomez
German Dario Gomez (24) | Lvl 4.11| FL | MO | MM | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | | 65 | 74 | 72 | 69 | 72 | 72 | 69 | 72 | 57 | 59 | 70 | 65 | 68 | 70 | | 66 | 76 | 73 | 71 | 74 | 73 | 71 | 72 | 57 | 59 | 70 | 65 | 70 | 72 |
And another German for the team. This one is Colombian.
German Dario is a stage racer who previously raced for now disbanded Manada Coyote. He quickly agreed on a 50,000€ contract. He is a stage racer who likes the big mountains and also is familiar with an aero bike. At the young age of 24, he will use this season to improve further and learn from the best but he is also already a valuable domestique for our leaders - especially Pierre-Henri Lecuisinier will benefit from his support. We are happy to have gotten his signature and are looking forward to seeing him race.

Free Agent Signing #6: Bryan Fernando Mendoza
Bryan Fernando Mendoza (27) | Lvl. 4.47| FL | MO | MM | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | | 68 | 73 | 70 | 67 | 71 | 73 | 73 | 74 | 55 | 62 | 67 | 68 | 67 | 72 | | 68 | 75 | 72 | 68 | 73 | 74 | 74 | 76 | 55 | 62 | 67 | 68 | 67 | 74 |
Bryan Mendoza follows his former Manada team mate to us by also signing a 50,000€ contract in the early days of free agency. He is a very similar type of rider with his strengths in the high mountains as well as on the aero bike. He will be a useful domestique in stage races for us and we expect him to further develop after experiencing racing on a higher level than previously.

Free Agent Signing #7: Liam Holowesko
Liam Holowesko (25) | Lvl 4.25| FL | MO | MM | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | | 70 | 72 | 72 | 72 | 70 | 70 | 69 | 70 | 57 | 59 | 67 | 70 | 68 | 71 | | 70 | 74 | 74 | 73 | 72 | 71 | 70 | 72 | 57 | 59 | 67 | 70 | 68 | 73 |
Our seventh free agent signing is Liam Holowesko. Coming from the Bahamas, the 25 year old is ready to start his professional career after signing a contract worth 50,000 euros.
Liam is a rider who is equally strong in the mountains and on shorter hills. He also has reasonable rouleurs skills and a solid aero position. As such he will be a valuable domestique on almost any terrain for us. We expect him to improve after his first pro season.

You are really good at finding the riders that just noone wants for over 50k, but everyone wants at 50k, and the bid on them first

Loan Signing #1: Alexandr Ovsyannikov
Alexandr Ovsyannikov (28)| FL | MO | MM | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | | 74 | 61 | 65 | 68 | 64 | 75 | 72 | 80 | 77 | 79 | 78 | 71 | 73 | 64 |
"It's still sad to see Evonik moving so far away from being a strong cobbled side" - SotD
I expect some creative solutions from you once again - kandesbunzler
Still loads of roster space for you to make moves and pickup those key loan ins you always seem to get - sammy
You asked for it, you got it. Evonik continues to be present on the cobbles thanks to the creative solution of loaning in Alexandr Ovsyannikov as our leader for the cobbled races. Ovsyannikov is a hybrid talent combining strengths on the cobbles and a strong sprint and he will get plenty of leadership opportunities on both type of races.

Good get with Gomez. I had him on my list, but forgot to put a bid in.
For obvious reasons I hope to finish ahead of Ovsya in every cobbled race

redordead - Thanks for forgetting i guess
Abhi - I was pretty surprised myself. I wouldnt have predicted him being part of my roster as i was more focussed on slightly lower wage loan targets in the days leading up to the start of deals

Transfer Signing #1: Hannes Bergstrom Frisk
Hannes Bergstrom Frisk (30)| FL | MO | MM | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | | 67 | 75 | 72 | 69 | 73 | 73 | 72 | 76 | 61 | 55 | 65 | 67 | 66 | 73 |
A familiar face returns. After finishing his development in the 2023 season contracted with us us, we sold Hannes to Lotto-Caloi prior to last season to make room for other investments. This year, a surprising and welcome opportunity appeared, when we could buy him back for only 50,000€.
Hannes will be a valuable domestique at the side of Pierre-Henri Lecuisinier. He is a very capable Grand Tour domestique with his specialities in the biggest mountains and in the aero position which makes him perfect for the role we have envisioned for him this year.

I don't think I would've gone the way you went with your talent acquistion, but I really like the signings of Adria especially and also the smart Ovsya solution!

I know the talents are no future stars but i think they can fill a role for us and most importantly they have a lot of race days which we need to fill more of our races
Curious what you would have done differently? Is it the specific talents with their rather mediocre fl+hi? Or just go for different types of riders entirely?
