Awesome overview Grin
Benoot definitely is impressive - but I'm somewhat surprised to see that Kelderman is still the rider with the most achievements. Guess the stage races make the difference there, as in terms of total points Benoot is easily superior now.

Btw, you got the wrong flag for Yechezkel, should be IL instead of IS Wink

Kelderman also did CT for a year, that helped! Benoot definitely showed in PCM 22 that classics was his strong suit and that's how was planned for two of the three seasons he has been with the team.

Updated the flag, thanks for pointing it out Smile

Beat me to the punch today dropping the team history post Pfft As always love the work and reading through. Such a credit to your regional squad-building to see the focus region flags filling up the top 10 of all the lists. Except return on wage, but maybe that's the price you pay to get home nation riders Grin

Marcel Wyss always puts a smile on my face when he shows up there each year.
24/02/21 - kandesbunzler said “I don't drink famous people."
15/08/22 - SotD said "Your [jandal's] humour is overrated"
11/06/24 - knockout said "Winning is fine I guess. Truth be told this felt completely unimportant."

Like you said, we're slowly putting the regional riders at or near the top of most standings, and hopefully we can do even better. Wyss put a lot of smiles on my face as well back then!

Thanks for the nice words Smile

It is time to share with the world how our rider contract discussions turned out this off-season.

We went into transfers with the intention of releasing one rider - Alejandro Franco - and we did that. We didn't go into transfers with the thought of possibly losing three more of our riders because of their demands, but that happened with Howson, Kulikovskiy and Yechezkel, as we were not inclined to meet their exaggerated demands!

For the rest, renewals went similar to what we were expecting. Benoot took the smallest cut, while Olivier dropped considerably after his decline! Hayter and Ronaldo also accepted reduced wages, correcting their inflated ones from FA, while Shiki also took a cut after his own decline. The one significant increase is Mick Van Dijke, with his development now complete. Kooistra and Shirota get a bump up, with Hoole, John and Rojith adding to our wages after returning from loan-outs last season. Miholjevic's stagiare contract was converted into a full-time one, with the likes of Leemreize, Carcueva, Saya and Trezise taking small decrement or increments.

This wasn't a good renewals in terms of riders, and selling potential, that we lost! The potential extra incomings would've gone a long way in helping us get our targets for our first season in the PT. Having said this, we still feel we did well with the riders that remain, and will look to build from here for the coming transfer window.

Stay tuned for the availability post coming soon...

At least the dressing sense is nice!

Agree that Hayter and his wage is quite cool Cool

Giving them all the heave ho!

Benoot is probably the most influential rider we've had on our team, in a positive way! He holds the record for most points scored for the team, with an average >700 per season over the last three seasons in PCT. While we would've loved to keep him, our chosen bands and planned team structure leave him with too few suitable race days to justify the same.

Olivier is our first real Dutch stage race leader! He also acted like one, scoring very well in all but one race last season. Time is catching up to him though, but he still remains a very viable option as a leader for PCT or a co-leader for PT.

The Kuroedas joined us together in 2022, and will likely leave together, or so is the intention. Shiki was the better performer over the first two seasons, but Saya turned it around last season with some exceptional results for his skillset. Both brothers still remain extremely usefull across multiple terrains.

Kooistra set the record for the longest time with team last season, but with the Indian duo of sprinters coming up the ranks, we feel it is the right time for him to move on. His versatility across sprints and cobbles should make him a valuable asset for teams focusing in those areas, or for those wanting to fill a gap there.

Our primary sponsors will not be happy but we feel the increased wage for Shirota also makes him a candidate to be moved on this season. He has proved himself to be the perfect domestique for both mountains and hills, and should be a good KOM hunter in all divisions.

Miholjevic is the only talent we are surely putting up for sale, as we won't be able to help him make any progress with his development from the PT.

Maybe Available
NameFLMOMMHITTSTRSRCCBSPACFGDHPR Age
Alexandor Cataford747271707975757367606967717932
Declan Trezise746060596268736466737361676423
The sale of Cataford depends on us being able to sign our desired leaders to compensate for the loss of his point-scoring potential.

Trezise is the other talent we will consider selling, but it would take a serious offer. He has already shown his potential (and more!) by winning a bunch sprint in his neo-pro season! We plan to make him into a fast roluer, but he could definitely become involved in a high value deal for cash or a swap.

For Loan
NameFLMOMMHITTSTRSRCCBSPACFGDHPR Age
Yanglem Rojit Singh686263647269706568707261607225
Rojith Singh will be available for loan, similar to last season. He is a decent addition to any TT squad and should be allowed to go out into breaks on road stages.

Hmmm. Very tempting list selling and loaning wise too.

Someone wants to make serious money it seems Pfft
Interesting to see that Saya is still training eligible, guess he might be worth a PM... And Cataford of course, but don't like his age Pfft

You should be in for a fun transfer season, though - this definitely looks like a major overhaul!

kandesbunzler26
In other years Benoot would have been a no-brainer for me ... But there should be no problem with selling him or Olivier or the Kuroedas to finance the rebuild you're seemingly planning!

One of the spiciest availability lists. Not sure it fits my plan (lol, "plan", who am I kidding), but I'd love to have an Asian refill after letting go of Hayakawa. Best of luck for tomorrow!

Shame to see none of the more interesting riders from my perspective available, and suspect it could get even worse for me if Benoot ends up in PCT Pfft

Very curious to see what the overhaul to become PT ready looks like though!

Ulrich Ulriksen
Defintely don't need Benoot back in the PCT or Olivier for that matter, But Benoot the bigger surprise to see on the list. But sentimentality gets you relegated.

Clearly either Yates is greedier than Olivier or I am a worse negotiator because Olivier is better and scored more points last year but ended up with 40k lower wages.

Will be very interesting to see what happens here, quite a list of available riders

@jaxika: I'm happy the post is doing it's intended job Wink

@Fab: Yes the plan is not for 'medium' one thats for sure Pfft Money depends on how much others want to pay for them. Hopefully it's a decent amount. Always willing to have those discussions during transfers.

@Kb: This year can be like any other year surely!

@wj: I guess that always happens during transfers...

@Gustav: I like what you are saying! Looking forward to talking if you do down that route.

@jph: My days of developing talents to sell them are (mostly) over. Best way to not have Benoot elsewhere is to have him yourself Pfft

@Ulrich: Better hope PT comes in for them then! Losing Benoot is bitter sweet indeed but I can't really justify keeping him with the calendar I have. I guess I did well with Olivier but three others balanced the scale!

@Heine: I am also interested Pfft

Benoot and Olivier is very interesting. Not for my team but definitely shows that you are ready to make big moves. Really looking forward to seeing your transfers unfold as i have little idea what the plan might be. We'll be in touch anyway Wink

Very interesting availability list indeed. I hope the Kuroeda brothers will leave as a package deal Smile

Benoot is clearly an interesting rider for all divisions.
