[CT] Cervelo Test Team - Enel and Bianchi take over from 2025
SotD
7-12? I have this as one of the easiest promotions across all divisions. I think I can point at 3 other CT/PCT teams I put more trust in regarding promotion.

Houle is hugely underrated as a CT leader IMO. Small hidden gems all over the team mixed with a couple of obvious leaders.

At least Moscon knows how to promote from CT to PCT, did it twice for me Wink
But other than in the hills - where the team should really score well - I find it rather difficult to assess this roster. One of the decisive factors could be how much Preidler has still left in him. If it's just the Mo/Hi combo that matters, and no secondary stats, he could be pretty awesome. But if low Fl/Acc and awful sprint somewhat matters, this could hold him back. Hamilton on the other hand is looking great for all those hybrid races.
Pure mountainous stage races are really crowded in CT this year, so not sure if Rucigaj - despite being a really nice rider - will fight for much more than lower Top 10s.
And then you basically have no-one for TT-heavy and cobbled races (although the TTT setup looks rather solid, even though it's obviously not top-notch). And only Houle for the sprints, that could mean quite some potential points lost on flat stages. I'm however with SotD that Houle could do really well in some races, up to you to find these Wink

I still haven't scanned all the CT teams, but I'd also see you in the lower Top 10 region, or just outside. One of the issues is that depth results aren't very frequent in current PCM versions anymore, so hills domination might not necessarily result in huge scoring - but if Moscon can dominate there, promotion could still be within reach Smile

I've already read this somewhere prior to last season Smile
Exchange Russo for Houle and even cut the decent TTT unit and it's a proven 6th place in the rankings Wink Though to be honest you'll probably need some huge performances in the hills to actually repeat this, so Fabi probably is right as it's the worst terrain to rely on (apart from the sprints maybe). Best of luck there nonetheless!

Overall 150 points were scored and 18.56 PPRD to start the year. I am pleased about the number of riders scoring points already, which was one of the main aims across the window and to have 4 riders over 25 and 3 being 50k riders is a great start through 3 races.

You're killing all my hopes and dreams of promotion.

Grin haha very very early days so far less the 10 percent of race days used and I would say and one of these results (Nakhon) was pure luck I think there's plenty of time for anyone to really start scoring back though we are delighted with our start

Thanks pal long way to go but I'm hoping its a sign of good things to come with this system I've gone with this year

January was a good start to your season, even with only minor scoring from Tachira your scoring should be pretty solid as should be your PpRD. I reckon 8.00+ should put you well into the promotion race in the long term.

Enel and Bianchi Take Over Sponsorship of New Italian Continental Cycling Team

storage.googleapis.com/pcmmod-images/user/upload/681f91bc95e2f.png

Enel and Bianchi proudly assume the role of lead sponsors for the established Continental team, formerly known as the Cervelo Test Team.

With a strong commitment to performance, innovation, and Italian cycling heritage, the team is set to make waves in the international cycling scene.

Joining forces with co-sponsors Miche, fizik, Sportful, and Limar, the squad will be equipped with world-class cycling technology and apparel, ensuring they ride in style and strength throughout the Continental Tour. Bianchi’s legendary craftsmanship in bicycle manufacturing, combined with Enel’s pioneering energy solutions, will provide the perfect foundation for a high-performing team.

Leading the charge on the road will be Italian powerhouse Gianni Moscon, whose experience and grit promise to push the team to new heights. "I'm incredibly excited to be leading this team as we embark on a new chapter," said Moscon. "With the support of Enel and Bianchi, and a strong group of sponsors behind us, we have everything we need to make a real impact on the Continental Tour."

Team management echoed Moscon’s enthusiasm, highlighting the team’s ambitions for the season ahead. "This partnership is a testament to our commitment to excellence and the deep-rooted passion for cycling in Italy," said the team's manager. "We are building a squad that embodies Italian cycling culture, and with Gianni at the helm, we are confident in our ability to compete at the highest level."

The team will ride in a striking light green jersey, featuring bold white and red accents that echo the Italian flag. The front of the jersey prominently displays the Enel and Bianchi logos, symbolising the union between cutting-edge energy solutions and legendary cycling heritage. Sponsor logos from Miche, fizik, Sportful, and Limar adorn the shoulders and sleeves, reinforcing the team’s commitment to top-tier cycling performance. With a sleek and modern design, the jersey embraces both tradition and innovation, ensuring the riders stand out in the peloton

The team is committed to maintaining an 80% Italian roster, ensuring that homegrown talent has the opportunity to shine on the Continental stage. By fostering a predominantly Italian lineup, the team aims to uphold the nation’s rich cycling heritage, allowing riders to develop within a professional structure steeped in tradition and excellence. This commitment reinforces a deep-rooted connection to Italian cycling culture, a sentiment echoed by the management and sponsors alike.

Hopefully something a bit different!

I realised early in the season that the Canadians are unfourtunatly in the past now though Pickrell may stay just for a homage to the former time but it's time for a new challenge now

The switch to Italy will be interesting, I think it's been a little while since we've had an Italian primary nationality team, I know there's been plenty of secondary focusses there so won't get it all your own way but it's a big enough market I'm surprised nobody's fully committed there in a while.

Interesting move, Bianchi is obviously a great sponsor choice Grin Good luck with rebuilding your roster in the offseason!

Canadian team going down the Italian path, where have I seen that before Grin

Love that there's more Italian presence in the game again, best of luck!

Italian! Sounds like a great idea! And I love going retro with Bianchi!

Hopefully you stay away from the recent Bianchi curse! Looking forward to see how the rebuild happens.

Caspi
Always exciting with commitments/requirements for rider nationalities. Good luck with the project.
