Surprise, surprise! Not the breakaway and not a mix of strong sprinters and/or puncheurs fought for the stage win, but the (mostly) GC favourites! All day I was thinking how great this was for Ulrich, who was one of the only one betting on guys such as Carapaz and Del Toro, but in the end, I was mistaken, and it wasn't actually Ulrich (sorry mate), but Abhishek who predicted the entire podium... and all of them were only predicted by him!

Such a victorious stage can only be put into words as follows:

Boom shakka lakka! The previous kandesbunzler 108 point record has been quite clearly broken today, and Ulrich 'high score for one rider of 70' from yesterday has also been beaten. Not one, but three times! Abhishek with a monster score of 286, and meanwhile it seems like knockout's "trust your instincts and copy-paste at the right time" tactic also worked out wonderfully, scoring just below 100 points.

The two Americans as brothers in arm with a score of 36 thanks to Ciccone and Pidcock, with Ollfardh the only other manager scoring points, three to be precise. Let's see what that gives us in the rankings, as we cross the halfway point of the Giro.

Boom shakka lakka again. Our maglia rosa, ember, has been blown away by some Indian dynamite today, as Abhishek rises to the top (from position seven), and gives himself a nice lead of over 200 points. Ulrich's decent stage puts him in second, right ahead of ember. Seancoll stays in fourth, with kandesbunzler dropping to fifth.

For the first time in the Giro, alexkr00 sees himself in the right side of the rankings, with Ollfardh's three point not enough to stay in sixth today. Knockout's good stage 11 sees him rise to eighth, while the Belgian duo of Laurens and myself are waiting for the right stage to pull an Abhishek on all of you.

Things have not going well for me lately and today reflected that perfectly as I had some good guys in the breakaway but it ended up being a day for the GC guys.
