The race usually doesn't favour rouleurs, but we need to try something and hopefully we get lucky.

Gorazd Stangelj:

The desperate effort we require clearly wasn't there for us. Tadej tried, but we needed a podium finish and didn't get it. The rest of the the riders weren't there to help him out either.

It's probably too late to turn around our season, but we can still ride for pride and try our best.

Marko Polanc:

We did a great job on stage 2, but apart from that this is another race that goes down as a failure. Geoghegan Hart and Habtemichael were terrible in the mountains when it counted and we had no presence in the breakaways either.

I felt like we tried and did our best on this occasion, but we still didn't come away with anything of note. I can't fault the effort.

This is our last chance for a big result in a flat classic. It might not matter in the bigger picture, but we'll try once more and maybe Gasper can cause an upset.

Marko Polanc:

I've told the riders that this could be the last Tour de France they get to ride in a while, so make it count! Dusan has had next to no consistency this season, but he is coming off his best result in Switzerland so the form should be there. We also have a sponsor goal for this race so we need to find a way to balance Tadej's GC and the team's overall scoring.

So much for taking our last chance. Without any depth scoring we managed to make this a much worse race than Moscow.

As the last important race for our team post Tour de France we owe it to ourselves and our sponsors to give it our all one last time! Hopefully we can give our fans on the road something to cheer about.
