Kinoshita did better this stage, but with the pack finishing together every stage it's a tale of bonus seconds, which doesn't favor us at the moment.

Just wanted to re-use/quote a small part of my previous post...

Bagioli on fire, congrats Eden. Would love to see Stannard challenge him, but that doesn't seem likely.

The team worked hard but it seems De Plus didn't have the strength for an attack. Congrats Eden on what should be a nice GC win!
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Narvaez hanging on is what I expected, he really needed to score more bonus seconds yesterday.
This is how this profile rode in my testing, it looks harder than it rides. I think tomorrow might be the queen stage, the series of finishing climbs is much harder than today. But with this very deep field it still may not break up that much.
Great to see Bagioli doing well here, this course is suited to him.

Not much to shout about, but Lagane produces his best work at the end of stage races so....

I need to get my eyes checked, I think I’m seeing double?
What a way finish off the stage - didn’t expect that at all. Thought it would have been raced a bit harder and brought out the more robust punchers, so stoked to see Bagioli shoot through at the finish to take another win! He’s already been a revelation for us so far, so happy to have brought him on board. Also very appreciative to Ulrich and McCormick that he may have insider knowledge of the local roads from his former team
Thank you for the report! Hopefully we can hold on to anything in the too 5 GC wise tomorrow.

Lots of 4th places for us, on and after that stage. We'll take how the race has gone so far. Hoping for a good last stage as well. Benoot has turned up at the right moments so far, let it happen here as well.
Congrats to Eden again and thanks for the report Imladrik

I don't recall the "loose time and go the the polka dots" discussion but Turgis is French so I shouldn't be surprised.
Congrats to Eden and thanks for the great reports Imladrik.

Another good effort from the team, but the climbs just weren't long enough for De Plus. Top 10 is good here. Another congratulations to Eden for a perfect race and big thanks to Imladrik for the reports!

Kinoshita's best stage, but not enough to get a really good GC placement. Eighth will have to do. There was no stopping Bagioli this race though, congrats Eden on the grand slam.
Thanks Imladrik for the reports!

So definitely score one for the more traditional puncheurs with the punchy sprinters unable to stay at the front. I think we wanted a stage race for the traditional puncheurs, so from a schedule balance point of view this is a win. De Plus does get 10th but couldn't get the bonus seconds to be a top finisher. I will have to think about whether to send Sosa here in the future, maybe with more climbers it will be ridden harder.
From a McCormick perspective kind of a disaster as Narvaez fails to hold on and slips to 19th in the GC. Another potential upside race with no upside for us. And while we are happy to see Bagioli win, it really casts doubt on the decision to sell him. I did it because I wasn't confident he could score enough to keep us up but he might have outscored our season to date total in this race. And in a race that has always been a big target for us. Yates had better come through later in the season.
Congrats to Eden and thanks to Imladrik for the coverage.

First of all thanks to Imladrik for the reports and congrats to Eden for the whitewash!
Our result would be good if we wouldn't have this as a top 5 goal race. Missing out on 2 places and 3 seconds is somewhat disappointing, especially after all those near-misses last season didn't really made an impact budget-wise.

Turgis rescuing some points for us, after a disappointing performance from Masnada.
Congrats to threepeat Eden and thanks for the great reports Imladrik.

Shame to lose a spot on the last stage but we'd have taken a Top 5 at the start. Decent points haul, nothing great, and it keeps us ticking.
Congrats to Eden and thanks for the reports

Unbelievable, I don’t think I’ve ever experienced anything like this in 10 years what a ridiculous race from Bagioli, holy shit. Never had a rider that’s just dominated a race like that before. Don’t really know what to say about that. He’s definitely earned his wage just from this race alone. Wow.
Thanks for the congrats and the wonderful reports. Good to see Standard doing well too, but surprised that Bagioli has managed to get the better of him each stage here. Sure he will stroke back in no time though
