Fantastic race by Teggart, he's usually very solid in these C2 races but this is easily his strongest result yet. I had hopes he might win it when it became clear that those three would stay clear, but it looks like everyone of them was just completely empty and then, as you mentioned in the report, sprint stat doesn't really matter as much. Still, with Habimana in 9th and two guys in the breakaway, we couldn't have asked for more. Thanks for the nice report and congrats to Mac, what a nice win!
Question: As somebody who has played countless hours of PCM, has any research been done on the effects of using x2, x4, x8 time during a stage? Watching the replays so far this season, I personally get a little annoyed with the speed ups in the final 20kms or over different inclines. When playing PCM, I always thought I got more realistic results when playing at x1 speed during the important sections of stages. Obviously x8 through the breakaway chase until good stuff starts to happen. It just seems the game can't keep up and make logical moves when going x4, x8.
But that's just me and my experiences with PCM. Not sure if there is any evidence to such a claim. Regardless, I'd like to see more x1 footage in the replays once in the final kms or on important climbs, etc. But, again, that's just me. I appreciate the effort to include the replays in the first place.
What the hell hapened to my Trans team and special to Moulingui .
I think we will just finished our season and focus on next one. this is realiy dissapointing. At least one it should be in top 5 or at least top 10 but no they rether go to vacations.
I get that you're disappointed with the result, but strange to say your team would rather go on vacation when it's clearly stated that they were working as well as Moulingui coming close to a fourth place or even better with that late attack, both of which also visible on pictures/video
Maybe it would help to include the time gaps in the posted results. This would make clear that there actually were 3 Trans riders finishing inside the peloton (ranging from 4th to 33rd). But both Centrone and Kolev are bad or even awful sprinters, and Moulingui probably just didn't have anything left after that promising late attack, so definitely an unlucky result. After all, this was a pretty easy cobbled race, with the last cobbles far away from the finish line, allowing even half decent cobblers like Welten to stay in the pack. Trans should have better cobbled races elsewhere for sure!
Anyway, big congrats to Glanbia, what a season beginning this is for you! Kennett, Boswell, David all doing well so far is nice to see
And thanks to Nemo for the report and the video
I know that Moulingui was on fourth place at 1km to go when he was chasing trio in front but still to blow up so hard that's a bit worrying for next races.
I know he had ups and downs last season but not that kind a results if I remember correctly. I know they are not strong in sprint but I hope at least top 10 that would be nice for his caracteristics.

I have always assumed it makes no difference because it would be really bad if it did.
Jeepers, a man goes away for a break and comes back to see his team are winning Cobbles Classics! Amazing from David- he was supposed to be a sweeper just making sure we got some decent scores in a bridge season!
