Thanks guys. Indeed Varotsos is a huge gain for us. Easily the most important talent pick of the season. Can't wait to start making him a useful asset.
Emondson was a cool allround type that suits several aspects. Leadout for Farantakis, strength of cobble department, C2 eligeble. Summerhill is a bit of a gamble. Could work here and there, but also cound hinder my greeks in performing

We can welcome another rider to the team.
| Andreas Miltiadis | 4.100 | 28yo | Puncheur | €70.000 |
Fl | Mo | Hi | TT | St | Rs | Rc | Co | Sp | Ac | Fi | Dh | Pr | 68 | 75 | 75 | 67 | 70 | 71 | 66 | 68 | 61 | 75 | 67 | 68 | 67 |
We welcome back Andreas Miltiadis who have been with our team for quite some time by now. He is a very solid allround domestique. He crowned his career palmares with a Tour de France stagewin in 2022. Although it won't be replicated this year we hope to see him fight for stagewins in stage races regardless.
We expect to add another two riders to the team.

Varotsos is a great talent, but I'm stunned that Summerhill is still on 79 CO after three declines! What a beast he must have been in his prime (before I joined).

He was very much a brilliant rider - I was a bit surprised no one was tempted to pick him up for 100K. But I'm happy to give it a go. I have no clue whether my COB team is strong enough, but I sure am going to give it everything

Three riders have joined, and we have effectively close our transfer window. We might have room for a couple of stagiare signings though. If we do, those will be presented shortly. First of, let's welcome this foreign trio!
| Yikui Niu | 4.100 | 30yo | Puncheur | €55.000 |
Fl | Mo | Hi | TT | St | Rs | Rc | Co | Sp | Ac | Fi | Dh | Pr | 72 | 74 | 72 | 67 | 76 | 69 | 75 | 56 | 74 | 74 | 73 | 70 | 67 |
Niu is a spectacular rider type, who can't really decide whether he wants to be a climber or a sprinter, so he's somewhat in the middle ground. He has been riding in all divisions through his career and has made a decent impact in all of them. Last season he was the 4th strongest rider at Babymetal.
| Edoardo Affini | 4.100 | 28yo | Timetriallist | €70.000 |
Fl | Mo | Hi | TT | St | Rs | Rc | Co | Sp | Ac | Fi | Dh | Pr | 73 | 66 | 67 | 77 | 76 | 79 | 72 | 64 | 64 | 70 | 73 | 68 | 78 |
Affini joins on a one year loan option from EA Vesuvio. He comes with a strong timetrial ability and will be a great asset in both individual timetrials aswell as one of our core focusses, Team Time Trials. Last season he rode the PCT with McCormick Pro Cycling. This season he will ride in a team that have a heavy focus where he excels.
| Samuel Mugisha | 4.100 | 27yo | Roulleur | €50.000 |
Fl | Mo | Hi | TT | St | Rs | Rc | Co | Sp | Ac | Fi | Dh | Pr | 76 | 64 | 70 | 74 | 70 | 74 | 71 | 63 | 62 | 68 | 74 | 64 | 6878 |
Similarly to Affini, Mugisha joins on a loan deal. Mugisha is a strong rolleur that will feature perfectly in our aim to bring Farantakis to the front of the pack in a sprint finihs. Mugisha is also a strong Team Time Trial asset, and is a somewhat well rounded domestique.

We wish our 3 stagiares for the upcoming season a warm welcome!
| Edgar Andres Pinzon | 1.56 | 23yo | Climber | €10.000 |
Fl | Mo | Hi | TT | St | Rs | Rc | Co | Sp | Ac | Fi | Dh | Pr | 65 | 68 | 67 | 55 | 69 | 72 | 67 | 59 | 64 | 67 | 66 | 64 | 55 | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | | | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | 66 | 76 | 73 | 57 | 71 | 77 | 72 | 59 | 64 | 73 | 72 | 65 | 57 |
Pinzon is a classic colombian climber that excels in the mountainous breakaways. He has a remarkable physical package meaning he would be an obvious target for further training aswell.
| Luke Lamperti | 1.00 | 22yo | Roulleur | €10.000 |
Fl | Mo | Hi | TT | St | Rs | Rc | Co | Sp | Ac | Fi | Dh | Pr | 69 | 64 | 69 | 57 | 68 | 69 | 68 | 60 | 67 | 67 | 63 | 65 | 58 | ↓↓↓ | | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | | ↓↓↓ | 75 | 64 | 73 | 59 | 73 | 72 | 72 | 63 | 71 | 72 | 65 | 65 | 60 |
Lamperti is a strong rolleur, that could also excel in many other areas if needed to be a little bit more specialised. F.e. in hills or sprints. We have opted to make for a brilliant attacker that can win from a decimated bunch. He is also an obvious leadout rider for a punchy sprinter like Koumpetsos.
| Simon Dehairs | 1.48 | 23yo | Roulleur | €10.000 |
Fl | Mo | Hi | TT | St | Rs | Rc | Co | Sp | Ac | Fi | Dh | Pr | 69 | 62 | 64 | 64 | 73 | 69 | 66 | 60 | 68 | 67 | 74 | 68 | 65 | ↓↓↓ | | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | ↓↓↓ | | ↓↓↓ | 76 | 62 | 67 | 66 | 78 | 72 | 71 | 63 | 73 | 72 | 76 | 68 | 67 |
Dehairs share resemblances with both of the two above. He is a strong rolleur that can also excel as a leadout rider or breakaway specialist, and his engine is massive. The longer and more endurant a race is, the better Dehairs would like it.
Three greek rider have developped their core qualities over the

Pinzon not being picked up is fairly strange, good dom for SA teams.
Training looks good, not sure about value of Kortsidakis training, but with those backups he may make a nice jump

Indeed. Pinzon left made no sense for me - and he can even level up as a stagiare! So I'm very happy with him.
Kortsidakis doesn't make a lot of sense I do agree, but I wanted to push him up as my lead cobbler so Stavrakakis will be the helper and not the other way around. Atleast until I land on a treasure box which will allow Stavrakakis to go to 79COB.
Initially I had planned to make Kiriakidis 76MO, but opted for the TT instead.

Looking good. Giannoutsos and Kiriakidis stepping up make sense, but I'm not that much of a fan of Kortsidakis'. For the amount you spend there you could have had Zegklis
Lamperti was on my list of final additions and should be a fun rider when maxed as should the other two as well.
Good luck on bouncing back up where you belong

The first month of racing is always a special one. For us very much so with a team of all-Greek leaders, and a very first PCT season. We hope to be able to fight for our dream of immidiate promotion, although it's by no means a given, nor an actual expectation. January is - on paper - a solid month for us. Some teams are better, but we should have a chance of 5-10 results in both races.
Start | End | Race | Category | 07-Jan | | Down Under Classic | HC |
Nat. | Name | FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | | Stylianos Farantakis | 74 | 59 | 66 | 72 | 75 | 72 | 79 | 66 | 81 | 80 | 61 | 63 | 79 | | Anastasios Koumpetsos | 74 | 67 | 73 | 56 | 76 | 73 | 82 | 58 | 76 | 76 | 74 | 71 | 56 | | Georgios Boutopoulos | 78 | 68 | 72 | 66 | 73 | 75 | 69 | 74 | 73 | 78 | 80 | 74 | 68 | | Michail Kortsidakis | 77 | 63 | 69 | 54 | 75 | 75 | 73 | 77 | 68 | 72 | 76 | 70 | 73 | | Ioannis Varotsos | 73 | 62 | 66 | 70 | 69 | 69 | 64 | 63 | 67 | 68 | 72 | 68 | 70 | | Yikui Niu | 72 | 74 | 72 | 67 | 76 | 69 | 75 | 56 | 74 | 74 | 73 | 70 | 67 | | Samuel Mugisha | 76 | 64 | 70 | 74 | 70 | 74 | 71 | 63 | 62 | 68 | 74 | 64 | 68 | | Mats Wenzel | 67 | 68 | 69 | 69 | 70 | 69 | 67 | 60 | 58 | 70 | 65 | 68 | 70 | Expectations: Stylianos Farantakis is leading the way with a solid group of roulleurs to keep him near the front. We don't expect him to win, but if the positioning works a top 5 might be in the cards. And hopefully some minor points can be collected from one of the leadout riders.
Start | End | Race | Category | 26-Jan | 29-Jan | Tour of Guadeloupe | C1 |

This time with Stavrakakis instead of Varotsos to pull on the front, but mostly it's the same ideas.
The month of February brings a little bit of everything, which is where we can hopefully shine a little bit through having a reasonably versatile setup.

We have a little of everything, but no obvious winners.

It's never easy to say where we stand exactly, but with an 8 man strong average of 76TT, we should be a podium contender at this level!

We can only hope for something like Vila, Miltiadis or Spanopoulos to try something, and for the ending to be somewhat cramped, were Niu and Soulious might achieve something from a decent sprinting position.

We bring Miltiadis and Edmondson as our leaders, and we know that isn't much. All we can do is hope for a small group sprint where Edmondson is among the fastest.

What in the name of all the holy are you trying to do to me? Seeing that race planning for Stylianos Farantakis gives me the fits!
Obviously, it's only a friendly jest, I'm perfectly aware of the competition. And certainly I will try to put up a fight for Stylianos Farantakis.
I love your team and regional focus! The best of luck in the new season! (But not as best as mine )
