The Race Profiles forum for the 2024 season is now online. This year, it is ordered by race category. Some very few race are potentially wrongly placed due to late changes. You will always be able to find them via the search function. Race clashes are correct in the calendar file and should be in the profile threads. So in case it`s different there, the calendar file always is the correct and used one. An important thing to remember when looking at the race profiles with a time trial symbol: a white clock is an ITT, a TT symbol with a jersey in it is a TTT.

It is also now possible for you to decide on your team goals then.
Team Goals form a vital part of each team's season. In the short term, how hard goals you pick will determine your final budget - but in the longer term, how well you achieve those goals in the season will have a significant effect on your budget for the following season.
Going for harder goals could reward you greatly if you achieve them, but will punish you if you fail them. Easier goals will be less punishing if you dont achieve them, but they are in turn less rewarding aswell.
For new CT teams, it obviously isnt easy to pick goals without knowing what your team will be - so now is the time to decide which races you want to focus on, and you can then target riders in the transfers season appropriately.
Each type of goal has a cost, and every team must select 5 goals. The total goal cost must be between 14 and 23. There are also certain constraints on what type of goal you can select.

Note for all: The stage wins goals means stage wins. Overall race victories - be it a stage race or one day race - do not count. Stages wins during PT races for PCT teams do not count either.
Race Flexibility
For one of your goals, you can select 2 races (of the same goal cost) rather than 1. For example: "Top 10, Paris - Nice OR Tour of Qatar". At the end of the transfer season, you must then choose which of these two races you want to keep in your goal.
C1 Goals Flexibility for CT Teams
CT teams must have exactly 1 C1 goal, which is difficult as it`s not guaranteed for you to take part in that race. Therefore you MUST use an additional flexible OR goal on another C1 race, in which you send priority list of another 4 C1 race goals of the same goal cost where the C1 goal will move over in case you weren`t getting a spot. This doesn`t impact the one regular flexible OR goal as written above for all teams, which still can be used by CT teams.
For example:
Win C1 1 Jour de Dunkerque 6
OR Win C1 Race From Priority List
- GP Kigali 6
- Badaling International 6
- La Tropicale Amissa Bongo 6
- Tour de Vineyards 6

I would say yes. Goal points of OR goals have to be the same, but otherwise it doesn't matter imho. You can e.g. pick KoM in a PT stage race OR Top 10 in a PT classic. At least I got some similar goal picks last year and roturn approved them.
Same race might be a special case, but I don't see why it wouldn't work. Of course the rule says "no more than one goal per race", but technically it isn't, as only one part of the OR goal will indeed be the final goal.

Because I am a nice guy thought I would do a quick overview of parcours changes.
See the HC and PTHC band intros for those, and obviously the excellent grand tour write ups.
As normal the major one week stage races all get a new routes. (thanks Abhi) (PN, TA, Suisse, Dauphine).
In the PT, Northern Europe gets a whole new route. Testing would say the cobbles stage matters now. Nederland gets a little more hilly and Scandanavia isn't as open to the TT riders anymore.
Moving on to C1, Amissa Bongo's TTs are now shorter and Britain's is gone altogether. The climbing stage in Vineyards is a little harder, The USA PCC enters its third age, having been a climbing race in Colorado, then a sprinters race in the US Mid-atlantic it is now a puncheurs race in Western New York.
In C2 Hong Kong resurfaces as one-day classic and Uppsala turns into a 4 day sprinters race. It will include the extra stages, that are not played, to avoid the yellow jersey bug as with the other pure sprinters races (Qatar, Guadeloupe, Ras, Juarez).
4 lane finishes have been eliminated in all sprinters races plus Duetschland, and a few others where I happened to notice them.
As always, planning remains the manger's responsibility.

Figure I should ask now before I forget - 1) is there a goal deadline for all goal choices and 2) how does that line up with those waiting for division confirmation?don't need answers to those immediately obviously as we continue to try to get new applicants as well, but they're questions on my mind.

Given the text below I would have initially thought no, although I don't see any problem as long as it's the only goal for that race.

If Fabianski says that roturn has already approved those cases, then it should be okay. The text should probably be amended to make it clear it's possible.

1) Technically, yes. You get no budget without goals, and you cannot enter transfers without budget. So the latest possible deadline is transfers start (or you'll start transfers late). But other than that, no deadline.
Please note that there's a deadline for the "normal" OR goal (i.e. not the automatically resolved C1 OR goal for CT teams), which is the end of transfers.
2) See 1). Don't need the goals now, just like renewals. Divisions will surely be confirmed before transfers start, so teams who are waiting for now should have enough time to complete these tasks.

I haven't had this exact case yet, so roturn probably should still confirm it. But having different goals (e.g. Jersey OR Top 10) are fine as long as goal cost is the same (with budget depending on total goal points).

As my division is still not confirmed and I'm in holiday for 2 weeks from tomorrow I've sent a set of CT goals to Fabi and a set of PCT goals to red, so just choose the right one when the divisions are finally confirmed.

Luxembourg in June
Yekateringburg in August
Due to late addition, you can`t pick them as goal races!
But it allows to add 1-2 more CT managers than first expected.

Hey,
As in previous years, I created the 2024 calendar in BBCode to use in the forum. You can C&P the code from the spoiler, and just remove the races you don't need.
So whoever wants to use it in some way, feel free to do so - be it in your HQ, season previews, or whatever...
I know we had some flag discussions last year - I picked whatever flag I deemed appropriate, i.e. some regional flags for Basque Country, flags for Isle of Man or Guadeloupe, ... Take whatever flag you want, feel free to modify your copy as you want :)
I tried to do my best for multi-nation races to include all the countries using the stage departures and arrivals - but they might not be 100% accurate. Most notably, Tour of "America" has so many countries that I'm almost sure I missed one.
Benelux still is just Bene, with Lux getting its own tour this year. Scandinavia is Norway and Sweden, as last year. ToNE no longer goes to Germany, but has a TT in France instead. And Balkans has a new stage 1 in Slovenia, with former S1 becoming S2 and former S2 dropped. So that's an additional country.
New races are Tour of Luxembourg, Dwars door Vlaanderen and GP Yekaterinburg. Uppsala is now a stage race, whereas Hong Kong was reduced to just a classic. Several category changes, too - I hope I got it all right!
Hit me up in case of questions or if you've got some ideas to make this calendar better/more readable. Also, please tell me if you spot any mistakes.
Just in case you wonder: in the calendar file, ToA is from Sep-01 to Sep-22, which would be 22 days. Ulrich has confirmed that the correct dates is Sep-02 to Sep-22, meaning that the clash with Amissa Bongo is indeed there.

Just a friendly reminder that there are still 6 CT teams (and I don't know about the other divisions) who haven't submitted any goals yet. Please remember that you will not receive your budget and hence cannot participate in transfers before communicating your goals. The calendar has been published, the post-renewals DB as well - so there's not much reason to wait any longer now.
Even though the offical start of the transfer window hasn't been communicated yet, I suppose that it won't take more than 2 weeks from now, so you better get this task done soon.

Not sure what the CT managers are waiting for, but assume some chunk of the PCT and PT guys are waiting on band announcements (not ashamed to say I'm one of them) to be extra sure about goals - obviously everyone should get the bands their goal races are in as you'd hope they were the top priorities, but you never know. At least hopefully that's the case and they will all be able to send it in fairly quickly after

Final reminder for the 4 remaining CT teams to submit their goals (with less than 48h left until transfers start)! If you don't send them, you get no budget, so you can't do any transfers - better do this quickly!
However, with only one of the four managers being online in the last two weeks, I'm not sure if this reminder is really useful - at least I tried...

C1 OR goals for CT teams have been resolved.
Most of the managers got entrance in their top priority race, which hence was picked as your goal. The managers for whom a lower prio race had to be picked were informed by PM - so if you didn't receive one, you got your P1.
Don't hesitate to ask for confirmation if you're not sure, though
