For a while it looked we could still save the day without Wout, but that Benoot mechanical (also getting the wrong bike, amateurs!) and Teuns overrun in the final 50 metres really hurt.

We go on to the third Monument, Paris-Roubaix. Again it's hard to look past Mathieu, but this is the moest unpredictable race on the calendar, so you never know. A lot of managers will be hoping for a chance here.
Aside from that, there's two really big CT races with Scheldeprijs and the Brabantse Pijl. As some of us ignored the CT races in the previous block (and regretted it), it might be unwise to put everything on Roubaix.
Fianlly the Classic Grand Besançon is part of this block now, read up above if you missed the calendar change. I need your startlists by wednesday 10:00 am.

Block 6 results
Mistakes were made this round! As the Rogues went all in on the Ronde (and even missed out on Covi assist points there), Jenthe Biermans scored them 0 points by winning the Route Adélie de Vitré. This was also the lowest scoring race so far.
Next up the GP Indurain where once again the winner was not selected, as the Spokes did not send in a team and were stuck with their R5 selection. A nice 2-3 from the Racoons gave them massive points.
We did see a winner in the Volta Limburg Classic, where the Macros picked up their first victory of the season. The Racoons and Hornets also scored ok here.
On to the big one, the Ronde. Van der Poel was expected, Bjerg in 4th was not, so that's massive points for the W. The Red Lanterns and 59'ers were the other teams scoring well here.
In the rankings, we have a new leader! The W are on top after a great performance. With a lot of the competition missing in Roubaix, it's hard to see them lose the lead. This must be frustrating for the Racoons, who despite a really good round find themselves 100 points behind.
The Zondagcoureurs had a mediocre round, but still find themselves in the top 3. The Spokes not only lose their lead, but also the podium. I would say they only have theirselves to blame for this, missing out on a lot of points by missing the deadline, but the guy that decided to disqualify Matthews should get part of the blame as well.
The Rogues are somehow still 5th, despite a bad final 10K in the Ronde and poor rider selection. They do see a lot of teams closing in on them. The Cobblers had a horrible round and drop to 6th, while Mozzato single-handedly brings the Red Lanterns up to 7.
The Fainthearts are the only team to score in all races, but must have hated the Ronde finish as well a it costs them a lot of points and actually lose a spot in the rankings. The comeback kids 59'ers are still climbing the rankings and are 9th for now.
The Macros close the top 10, still wondering when Laporte will return to racing. The Hornets drop to 11th, but their sprinter-heavy team might bounce back in Scheldeprijs. The Ice Tulips win a spot thanks to Sheffield, and also because the Hussars only just avoided a 0-pointer. The Bombers are still last, despite a good performance from their autodrafted Oliver Naesen.

Indeed, huge block for us. And it looked quite good in Ronde too for a while with Pedersen and Vermeersch at the front of the race. Would have been nice if Van Baarle actually showed up for a race this season. With Wout and Laporte missing I thought he would finally step up in Ronde, but even though he wasn't invisble it was clear way before the finish line he won't be amongst those finishing in the top 20.
Huge season for Van Gils so far. And the Ardennes aren't even here yet. A good run from him there too could put us in contention for winning this I think.
Hopefully Pedersen will ve fully recovered for Sunday and Van Baarle will finally pull through.

Didn't follow the race, but no matter how it went 9th for Bettiol is slightly disappointing indeed. And the other races in the block weren't exactly successful, either, so 105 points out of 4 races isn't a great result.
Anyway, the game goes on, and Roubaix should offer another chance to Bettiol in particular:

Decent RVV block from us I think, a shame of course that Stuyven wasn't there, and also Yates was ill in Spain. Hopefully Pidcock will recover well from his crash in Basque Country, we will need him to stay in the upper half.Our line-up for this one seems to be weak, but at least this time I won't forget Aniolkowski if he gets in the botd during a monument
