A messy leadout on Stage 1 caused by a couple of turns in the closing stages saw Stanley in the wind too early. He ran out of steam before the finish. Van Aarle sneaked into the Top 10.

No real leadouts formed on Stage 2, with Van Aarle doing slightly better to be 9th.

Li joined the break in the third stage of his professional life and won the first intermediate sprint. A lone late attacker surviving meant Van Aarle winning the bunch sprint gave him 2nd place on Stage 2. Stanley was 7th.

De Groot joined the break o Stage 4. Fernandez Hernandez won the only KOM of Stage 4 and ended the stage as the new leader of that classification. He finished 7th on the stage. Clark was the best of the bunch though, getting onto the podium and moving up to 6th in the GC. Campagna finished 10th with Stanley another position down.

EF delivered the best leadout of the race for Stanley on Stage 5 but he faded in the final half kilometer to finish 9th. Van Aarle was 7th.

Fernandez Hernandez picked up enough points on the KOM on Stage 6 to win the jersey! The last stage proved too tough for the riders but there were no time gaps, which meant there were two in the Top 10 in the GC and six in the Top 30. Van Aarle finished 5th in the Points.
