With offseason rapidly approaching, time to set up shop in new years thread.

Žalgiris is back to being independent (except taking bunch of money from the government) and even more focused on Making Lithuania Great Again. Maybe Red Bull had cursed the team for wasting their money and achieving nothing? Only time will tell.

Let's go over the rider developement over the season.

First off, our maxed riders, with Einhorn becoming a premiere stage hunter

Definitely a fine sprinter, especially in weaker fields. Time will tell whether we keep him or ship him somewhere he can shine.

Definitely excited to finally max Lasinis out. He will be training eligible next year and it is definitely in the plans to make him a true elite climber to represent Lithuania in big stage races. He will still be a very valuable asset even next year, but can't wait to make him even better

Tediasvhili is an interesting project. We have never been a cobbles team and most likely never will be, but Giorgi is so condusive to training with his fantastic backups that it is possible that he may become our sole cobble star. Or we can just sell him.

Just a great guy to have around. Won't be a star, will never lead a team to glory, but god damn should he be able to really contribute in stage races with attacks. Hope to see some scoring from him next year fo sho

Last but not least we got the big dawg, the 'who did this ' guy. Yeah, I don't expect too much in the next season, even 100 points is a pipe dream it seems, but next year Rokas will already be one of best TTers in the world. Just have to tough it out and let him grow into the superstar role.

So, renewals went not as well as I'd hoped as we stayed mostly put with our wage bill. Halvorsen's payrise was expected and luckily we had some overpaid dudes that we could steal their wages to finance it.
Unfortunately, we also lost one of our talents in Einhorn (dude was wild in his demands) and secondary sprinter in Hayakawa, as well as Mr. Grossschartner, which could've netted us some decent dolla with new Austrian teams popping up.
As always, everyone is available to an extent.

That is what I think everytime I see him, too Pfft As someone who also lost a solid young sprinter in renewals, I feel you on that one, but other than that and perhaps Großschartner (still got Schönberger for that Austrian market at least), I think renewals went okay. Halvorsen like you say was expected, and that Beniusis paycut looks really nice. Not a ton of cap space left compared to some of the other teams in the division, but I'm sure you'll still be active and I'm interested to see how you shape this roster.

Well, we have 6 open spots and quite a few opportunities to slash the wages. More concerned about straight mulah, will have to be very flexible this window (as always)

Great work done with Beniusis. Interested in what your plan is for transfers - TTT kings of the PCT?
24/02/21 - kandesbunzler said “I don't drink famous people."
15/08/22 - SotD said "Your [jandal's] humour is overrated"
11/06/24 - knockout said "Winning is fine I guess. Truth be told this felt completely unimportant."

Boy, the plan is simple. Go around offering minimal sums for riders I dont really want, and then make something happen in the background. TTT is never a priority since there will be teams that will grab the one dimensional TTers which, unless its a good deal, I do not go for. Our actual #1 priority is to ensure the balance between #blessed and #cursed

Plenty of interesting names to discuss here! Solid base for you to build on, and lots of saleable assets should you want to reshape your squad.

There's hope that the new game version will treat a certain rider better than the previous ones, especially with the energy stats apparently getting more importance - so we might actually end up talking...

We are pleased to welcome to very special trio of BALT SAVAGES, one from each country

We welcome a couple extra additions to our squad.

First off, our big puncher for this year, Gianni Moscon, joins us from Jura GIANTS with Big Tedia and Xuban Errazkin going the other way. He scored over 350 points last time he was in PCT and we're hoping for similar or better return this year.

Slightly odd one for me seeing Errazkin go for Moscon but, hopefully for you, Moscon performs!

On the other hand, very jealous of Sossa. 170k is a very reasonable wage in my eyes and he’ll have very solid back up stats to potentially support some future investment too! Congrats on him Wink

Well, I wasnt going to ever train Errazkin, so he was always going to be on chopping block if there was opportunity to get a better rider. Moscon outscored Errazkin by around 150 points in their last PCT seasons, so to me it was a clearcut decision, plus Sossa will be ready to replace Moscon as he will be approaching twilight of his career.
