With the season having reached it's end, it is time to list our wins, and decent results for the coming generations. So here we have all wins that lead to promotion in our debut season! The podium places and top 5's will be posted later as it's quite late.
Wins 2022 Season
Lahcen Saber - Down Under Classic (HC)
Loic Vliegen - Clasico San Jose (C2)
Lahcen Saber - Gent - Wevelgem (C2)
Yves Lampaert - Tour Du Faso Stage 3 (C2)
Yves Lampaert - Tour Du Faso GC (C2)
Yves Lampaert - Tour Du Faso Points (C2)
Luigi Giulietti - Tour Du Faso U25 (C2)
Lahcen Saber - Ras Tailteann Stage 1 (C2)
Lahcen Saber - Ras Tailteann Stage 3 (C2)
Lahcen Saber - Ras Tailteann GC (C2)
Lahcen Saber - Ras Tailteann Points (C2)
Alain Quispe - Arab Tour Stage 4 (C1)
Lahcen Saber - Benelux Challenge Points (HC)
Lahcen Saber - Herald Sun Tour Stage 2 (C2)
Lahcen Saber - Herald Sun Tour Points (C2)
I think the statement we were carried by King Saber is well, an understatement. We wouldn't have done it without our other riders, but Lahcen truly won it all to give us a fighting chance. So for that;
Merci beaucoup Lahcen.

The Saber acquisition proved to be a very nice deal for your team despite the huge wage attached. However, he'll enter into Stage 1 of decline next season - granted, he won't decline much in 2023, so it would be interesting what your plans would be for him going forward.
Congrats on the promotion.

@jandal You called it
@Ivan I've been in limbo for the past time about his future aswel. Like my sponsors, I've decided to sell, keep, then sell again, only to doubt either now. He is a legend of immense stature to the team, and I would love to keep him for the story, but I have to do whats best for the team. Thank you, and congrats to you too. With the disbands you'll surely promote aswel, however sad it is to lose people.

Having a singular machine of a pointsscorer in CT is a proven a strategy to promotion, and this time around it proves to work yet again!
You have a pretty big rebuild on your hand next season but I am sure you will manage!

We should add an "MG Best Transfer" to the yearly awards, Saber should be a great contender for it
Not sure what that says about me as the seller though

Most interesting off-season to follow? You're certainly in the mix. Promoting off a truly sensational one-rider season, who's now about to start declining, sets you up a completely open transfer period. Enjoy the opportunity and experience!

Saber should indeed be a great contender, but let's not forget about the one and only winner, Alain mothertrucking Quispe. Beautiful win by him in the Arabs, while also being a great domestique for Saber. Although it will pain my heart seeing him race against me in pct next season, my heart is also filled with joy to be able to race with and against our Colombini friends. Please max out Quispe, as he deserves it!

@Croatia14, it was certainly a sight I loved to see, Saber haunts my dreams and he wasn't even my opponent
@WJ I always knew it was a one shot season, but I love a good rebuild. I guess my next goal is to balance succes with regional focus now
@red the goat it was the perfect time to sell him, and you did a hell of a job selling him to me hah
@TMM Saber has served the team well, now it's time to build an actual team and survive in PCT
@Nemo Quispe is the GGOAT, Greatest GOAT. Quispe will max out, even if I die trying!

As we approach preseason, it's time to take a look at Colombini, and the project it has at it's hands. Last year we focused on results first, and regional riders second. Fairly early on we put our focus on the Bermuda Triangle of Micro nations. Or Dwarf nations, midgets, however you want to call them. San Marino would always be the main focus when we started, Malta and Liechtenstein would add needed depth. We ended the transfer season with six Micro Riders. Four Sammarinese, which included a loanee and the San Marino Champion. Bonello, the most recent Maltese talent, and Sprenger the Liechtensteiner. This group of riders wasn't a lot, but given the circumstances a fair amount. With Bonello and Sprenger winning their respective National Championships, yes I'm claiming Malta as a win , we have collected all three Champions Jerseys. Ofcourse Olei still has the possibility to defend his championship but thats details. Our team will need a rebuild, as the core is, under par, ageing, or both. That will include Lahcen Saber. He has expressed his wishes to keep slaying in CT, and we fully intend to aid him in that goal. So the next announcement will be quite ironic.
As most will know by now after announcing our new sponsors, we have decided to add a new continent to our project, Africa. We are not the first team nor will we be the last to go venture out into this great continent, but we do intend to put a little twist on it.
With two European sponsors, and two African ones, it's only fair to focus on both regions equally. That is why we decided to redesign our micro project, which will be announced at a later date. Al Mada wishes to put that focus on Morocco, and other Arabian regions. Spanning from the North coast of Africa to the Arabian peninsula, we will aid riders in their development and help them conquer the world. Saber was the first African to conquer CT, which has inspired a whole crop of up and coming riders. Saber leaving touches us all at our cores, but it is a necessary pain needed to further the team towards the future.
On the other hand, Afriquia is a more globalised company. Which sees us focusing on the entire African continent aswel. Albeit a shared focus, we intend to combine all three and form a regionaly correct, but unique team. That is why we wont define ourselves as European or African, instead opting to use "Eurafricans".
It's a lot to take in, I am sure. It's a lot to draw out, I can assure you. The love for the micro nations across the world is so big, I have to keep developing it. But the love that grew for Africa, thanks to one of its greatest riders shares an almost equal part of my heart. Theres a lot still to define and discover, but towards the future, we intend to fill almost 75% of our team with riders from one of our focus regions. Reserving the remaining 25% for various superstars, as we still intend-
To go big or go home.
