Stat Growth and Final CT Rankings
As you all know, this is the time of year where we welcome back our loans and also have stat gains for some of those riders within the team. Here we will outline who those riders are and the stat gains they have had. We will also look at the final CT rankings and see where we stand in terms of promotion or staying in the current division.
Cameron Scott
24 Years Old - New XP : MAX - Potential : 5 - Upgrade : Sprinter
Cameron Scott is a big up and coming sprinter for Australia. We have had him since a draft a few seasons ago and have been aiming to get him MAXed ASAP! He will be a vital part of the sprint team moving forward and will be able to compete with some of the best moving forward

Jimmy Muhindo
26 Years Old - New XP : MAX - Potential : 5 - Upgrade : Cobbles
Jimmy is now going to be a huge asset to our classics team. He is an excellent cobbler and will be very good help to our leader (whoever that may be). We look forward to see him in the attacks as well as I believe he can be a strong breakaway rider as well. We are very excited to see him in action!

Jake Marryatt
26 Years Old - New XP : MAX - Potential : 5 - Upgrade : Time Trial
Jake has been a big goal of ours to MAX. He is local TT talent and will be an integral part of our TTT team. He is finally MAXed and we can't wait to see how he does in the TTs next season and contributes to the TTT squad.
FL | MO | HI | TT | STA | RES | REC | COB | SP | ACC | FI | DH | PRL | 69 | 61 | 67 | 75 | 66 | 72 | 65 | 57 | 60 | 58 | 66 | 63 | 75 | 71 | 61 | 68 | 77 | 67 | 74 | 67 | 57 | 60 | 58 | 67 | 63 | 77 |
Regan Gough
26 Years Old - New XP : 4.4 - Potential : 4 - Upgrade : Track-Sprint
Regan is another young rider from NZ. We have plans for him to be a strong leadout and Prologue rider as well as be strong in a breakaway and support role. He is a hard working rider and we really are excited to see how he performs.

We are excited to see how these guys fit back into the squad next season and keen to see how we go!

So 7th place, not where we wanted to be. We now have to bank on a disbanding team for promotion to happen otherwise we will again be stuck in the CT for another season. We will see how it goes and we will keep you all updated!

Two disbands doesn't seem unlikely. Be great to have you move up.
Muhindo with the unusual 69 SP, 64 AC - is that right?

Will wait for it to be confirmed obviously and never hoping for more disbands but would love it if you are moving up this season. Last couple of years have been solid improvements and this year a real fighting squad that deserves promotion - would love to see you move to PCT and to have another Kiwi team in the second tier!
Cool to have a group maxing as well as Gough getting close - was nice to continue our loan connection there and he contributed with a few breakaways as well as being part of a few of our bananas leadout situations
Wouldn't surprise me if it was given Cobbles gives way more SP than ACC.

All signs point to promotion and it's been coming for a long time. Will be well deserved Looking forward to seeing you in PCT.

Congratulations to your promotion (though it's not entirely official yet)! Will still see you in the C1 and C2 races.

Although I obviously don't like the announced disbands, I'm glad that this (very likely) means promotion for you
My first conclusion looking at your roster, then at the rankings: you definitely had a great transfer season! Your Top 3 scorers are all new signings, succeeding in three completely different domains (Rajovic in sprints, Vasyliv in GCs/mountains, Kopfauf i prologues). You made some really good choices one year ago!
Then there's the ever reliable Schultz, and TT talent Erdenebat who also made the 100 points barrier. 5 riders in the three-digits zone - not too shabby
However, I can see why you expected a Top 5 finish - and it might indeed have been possible. Edmondson as one of the division's top puncheur was pretty disappointing - and I can't really see what held him back. Low resistance? Lack of climbing skills? I mean, his spr/acc are pretty good (better than Moscon's anyway), so those 66 points clearly are a letdown.
Then there's Nizzolo, on paper still a very quick man - however, his low acceleration and even more so his really low resistance surely cost him lots of points. Sprint stat definitely isn't everything for sprinters...
So, what's next? PCT, by the looks of it. In terms of average age, there's not a ton of work you had to do - but there will obviously be some upgrades needed. Good luck and have fun, both during transfers and the 2023 season

Thanks everyone who is replying with the support and feedback.
We do believe the reason we did not finish in the top 5 is because our puncheur squad was not at the ability it should have been at. Having riders like Joshua Edmondson, who is absolutely at the ability of finishing in the top 15 if not higher in the individual rankings. We also had the Australian national champion in Calvin Watson, who is also a rider that probably should be leading a team and also has the ability to finish quite high in the individual rankings. Yet for some reason neither of these guys were able to get any movement up the order. Edmondson only had 1 top 3 finish and Watson only 2 or 3 top 10 finishes. We are lucky we had our sprinter, TT rider and GC rider pick up the slack and finish with high positioning. As well as Kopfauf.
Still, you can't ask for perfection every year from the riders, however, moving into next season we will be looking at the areas we did not do well this year and figuring out how to improve them, whether that be new leadership or new support. We also wait to see if we will be in the PCT next season for the first time or in the CT for another year. Still we are excited to find out what happens with promotion and eager to improve the squad for whatever situation occurs next season. Our rider scouting has already begun for next season!
We have always been interested in returning to a majority NZ squad and this season we have finally found a second Major sponsor from New Zealand interested in taking the challenge on.
SparkNZ will join our squad partnering with our long term Major sponsor in BNZ to take on naming rights for the season. We are excited to announce our jersey as well and cannot wait to go through the sponsors in more depth in the future. Thankyou to Ezeefreak for the amazing work!

We will keep you updated with all things promotion and thank you all for your continued support!

Continuing to just fill up your jersey with the major NZ services I don't use irl Love a purple jersey for some uniqueness though, should stand out! Interested to see how the orange design looks in-race, not sure how I feel there yet

@Jandal - I wanted to have a bit of the BNZ yellow on the jersey
@Laurens - thanks! Hopefully I’m actually in the PCT. Will be an interesting transfer season either way!

Love the jersey, should also be easy to spot for you. With at least two disbands confirmed you should indeed be going to PCT, so I'm looking forward to be racing against you again for the first time since 2020

I love any jersey that’s the same colour as a Cadbury packet all the best with the off season shenanigans, and (unofficially) congrats on your promotion!

Thanks guys! The jersey is incredible! We are very happy with it!
Excited to give it a go on a bigger budget (should we move into the PCT). Been a long time coming. 8 seasons of the CT so about time we have a chance in the higher competitions
