Well, first of all, congrats to Imladrik - Wackermann surely was on an awesome day, and he's exactly the type of rider I'm still lacking for this kind of easy finishes. Great to see one of the most active managers/reporters getting a big win to finish off the season in style
I definitely can't be mad at my team. Except for Moscon, maybe, who was back to his usual 2022 "performance" level.
But all in all, we had the perfect strategy for this race. Joining the early breakaway, hence saving energy in the pack instead of chasing. Then taking control of the race when it's needed. Especially Schmid was absolutely fantastic today - maybe we should even have made him our leader, given his great acceleration and decent top speed. But it was great to see how he simply closed those gaps, perfectly delivering Masnada to the final kilometer.
Masnada also was very active and in the end did everything right - one guy was just a tad faster, certainly being on a +5 (or close to that) day.
However, I can't deny that finishing second in our home race stings - and this was already the second time (in three attempts) that we finished 2nd. I'd happily take that in any other classic, but in the home race - which moreover was our win goal - there's still a little sour taste that remains.
Generally speaking, while we were lucky in a ton of races, we weren't that much in our goal races, missing out on 3 of them - by a total of 5 spots (2nd instead of 1st, twice 7th instead of 5th). We were really close to getting a huge budget - but I'm afraid with just 2/5 it'll be a tiny one...
Well, apart from that, still plenty of reasons to celebrate, given that we have just concluded our (by far) most successful season ever! There will surely be a season analysis in the HQ later on, for now we're just happy we sealed the title and promotion. And 2nd place in the final race is nothing to scoff at - especially given that the team pretty much raced as I was hoping them to (unlike some other teams, commiserations especially to BNZ...)!
Thanks for the report to cunego, congrats again to Imladrik, and to all others who did well. See you all again next year
Not our best result, but oh well. A welcome finish to the CT season. I will post a more indepth message about the season in my HQ. But it was a pleasure battling against you all this season. Good luck to everyone in CT next season, and see you on the road to the ones going to PCT. Congrats with the win Imladrik and thanks for the report!
Thanks for the report cunego and congratulations to imladrik for the win, well deserved given your big contributions to the ongoing of the game.
Our shared joy is just mildly lowered by the fact that we not only did not catch up with Staffbase in the ranking but moreover got overtaken by Bordeaux because of their victory. But apart from that the team showed some more good work late in the season and Teuns' 8th place as well as Thierys 11th place aren't bad either.
Thanks for the report. Much like last year this race not quite selective enough for Boswell and not really the team around him to help out. Tough choices to be made on what to do with him next year.
Congrats to Imladrik, a very deserved win to someone who has been an awesome addition to the game.
Since this is the last race of the season i have to say this because i'm annoyed by this the whole season and at one point i also thought about quiting because of that. It's not even something that was targeted at me at some point (probably because i wasnt that successful xD ).
In quite some discussions after races i often read comments from certain managers that implifies they are bad losers (and sometimes bad winners too). Always blaming and pointing out game mechanics when they arent work for them in favor. But thats part of this game! If it would be all defined by just the stats we can stop using pcm and just look at the excel tables and decide the winners by that!
I dont think the discussions about the game mchanics should be part of any races discussions. They can be discussed somewhere else. It just ruins the fun if i read whiny or cocky threads with this pointing out. Let the winners and everyone else just truely enjoy their results!
Here Wackermann could scoe a genuine great result because he was basically the best rider at the end! He was amongst the favorites and from the the best sprinter after all so its no suprise he won a finish like that. Other teams should have gotten rid of him before the final km.
Sorry, I had to get this off of my chest because, like i said, i found that very often very annoying at these discussion threads. But now I am ddone with my rant
Again congrats for the good results of the succesful teams and riders!

Thanks for posting that - rants absolutely allowed. I understand your frustration and am glad you didn't quit. My general philosophy is more players are better and that means I think we all have to accept a range of approaches to the discussion. I am not opposed to some discussion of game mechanics because I think sometimes understanding how the game works helps people manage their expectations. That said I too would prefer people refrain from "leaving the world" and talking about the AI in most circumstances, and I try to to catch myself on that front.
