Solid first outing for Zariff with 5th place. Hopefully he can finish a couple of spots higher in some future stages. I'm interested to see if we can do something in the next few hilly stages, because usually the team completely derps on those.
Two of the strongest teams Popo and Philips both off to great starts, congrats

Given how these things usually go for us, pardon me for not being too enthusiastic about it Also, that is our first stage win of the season, so you can understand what I'm talking about.
That went as well as we could have imagined! TvA doing his thing 6 weeks before the impending age decline. He hasn't had as good a season as 2021 so far but this more than makes up for it
Yellow, Green and Teams with Eenkhoorn just a second off the top of the U25s - first two stages have exceeded our expectations. There is a small possibility that TvA can hold on to the Yellow jersey tomorrow but he surely won't after that. Hopefully the Green will stay with him for longer and he can keep chipping away at those points. The focus now shifts to keeping Choi safe on those hills, so it will be interesting to see how the dual focus plays out.
Thanks for the congrats and the report

Really just here to pay homages to the reporter, amazing scenery and reports. I'll have to save up for New York!
Glad Bennett has got us off the mark, hoping for McKenna or Dunne to attack over next few days

Congrats to Popo and Philips for their first wins, but most of all thanks to Fab for his great preview and his also great reports. This way even prologues get interesting to read.
Our expectations for this race are some good results from Boivin (or even better: one very good result, i.e. a stage win) and he left a good first impression. Apart from that Henao should be our biggest hope for a stage win or maybe even a fight for the polka dots, and although this race is technically a top 10 goal we have not much hope to get anywhere near that in the GC, as in all other goal races this season ...

Vasyliv and Edmondson with an excellent stage today. Good to see Vasyliv attacking as well. I think it was smart that he attacked and then dropped back to the peloton. Only 37 seconds behind in GC and broke into the top 10. I would've liked to see Edmondson a bit more aggressive but I suppose when your GC leader is in the group you help out where you can.
Good stage for us and I'm really happy to see Vasyliv in that top 10 and doing well early in the Grand Tour.

Well that was kind of a surprise to see Kuss off the front, maybe trying to show we didn't need to bring Boswell after all.
Not sure it was worth the energy involved to get a 4th and a few seconds. Don't really see much chance of taking the jersey but I guess better the alternative. And glad the rest of our climbers made the front group but not hopeful they can keep that up since this was the easiest of the punchy stages.
Thanks for another great report. Congrats to D2B, Kraftwerk can do no wrong in the ToA.

Nice to see Betancourt attack and get 5th place. Even if he came short of a fight for a podium. I expected way less of him so hopefully this is a sign of more to come! Congrats to Kraftwerk and thanks Fabi for the report!

It was inevitable that TvA lost the jersey on the hills and it is probably not a bad thing that we don't need to chase the break anymore till the mountains come around. Choi was quite dormant today, but it might have been because the team was trying to concentrate on TvA a bit more. That problem won't be there anymore. We probably lost a viable stage option in Velasco in trying to protect TvA. Eenkhoorn looking really strong though is a good sign for his role later in the race. Him leading the U25s already is great. TvA still has the Green jersey but we lost the Teams, but its not too much of a worry.
Congrats to D2B and also to redordead for this coup Thanks for the report Fab!

Where do I start?
I guess at the beginning with Katrasnik and Groselj. I guess the notion they would be wasted in a GT can be put to bed. They did exactly as you would hope two powerful engines do. They put all that FLA and RES to good use
Of course Groselj has already scored a bunch of points with his exploits in the prologue, but he's the KOM leader now also?!
And yes we did do the same thing of working a lot throughout the stage, but we actually acted for once at the end. If the AI was really smart McCormick should be our leader for a flat finish stage, but that's asking way too much
Eriksson working for Bouchard there makes zero sense both from a stage and GC perspective. It would've been nice to see it the other way around, cuz the chances for a win looked really good. But I guess we now have a history of having a 2v1 in a GT breakaway and coming up short
All in all I can't complain. The team worked so well part from the end and the hard work is rewarded with a bunch points scored through the stage results and GC/KOM bonuses
Even with the stupidity at the end this was a very enjoyable read and still much better AI than what I read in Bayern. Thanks Fab

I was hoping for an Eislers miracle, but that proved too difficult in the end

Loving how Cedevita lit up the race and almost rewarded themselves with the win. You can't argue with a Kraftwerk ToA stage win though!

Thanks to Fab for another super report, great reading. Thanks also for the congrats.
After looking at the early hilly stages I added puncheur Moazemi to the ToA squad and he has returned that faith in spades. Congrats and commiserations to redordead, great work making the decisive break, shame the AI isn't smart enough to pull off a 2v1 win.
Haller has redeemed himself after his sprint failure by putting in some sterling work controlling the break. Destribois and Rumac also working hard to set up Moazemi so he could follow the decisive break.
Kraftwerk up to second in Teams behind a deserving Cedevita.
Moazemi could keep the yellow jersey for another 6 stages!
This gives Kraftwerk a three pronged challenge, defend yellow, protect Ranaweera's GC and set up Haller for the sprints. Can we do all three? Can't wait to find out!

Watson and Vasyliv up the order which was great to see. I'm really happy with how Vasyliv is performing so well and always keeping himself in a great position!
Really hoping he can keep it going!

Great to see the team work so hard and not be invisible. Now only if Betancourt would actually attack and reward the hard work with a strong finish. Nonetheless I can’t really complain as its only the 4th stage. Plenty to go. Congrats to the winner and thanks for the report Fabi!

Well, at least we were in touch with the main pack and have been active all stage. Not that it warms us anyway, but if anything this is some small consolation prize that were aren't the worst team.
But on the other hand our chances for promotion (at least through merit) have gone up in smoke. Sure, our direct challengers are not there, but BNZ and Tryg aren't that far either and they have far greater chance to score huge haul of points. But I've been used to coming up short all the time, so nothing really surprising.
Thank you Fabianski for the report though.

That's a side of Barta we've not seen all season! Was awesome to see how strong he was there. 2nd place is a great result for us on this stage. He and Eenkhoorn have been very good so far, along with TvA. Choi has been sitting and waiting and conserving energy and it's definitely not a bad thing. We still hold two jerseys and that's great.
Congrats to Laurens and thanks for the report

Looks like everyone on the team decided to take a day off. Hopefully it's not a GC thing with Eriksson and Bouchard, otherwise the next hill stages will be very boring
