Really happy with how it ended! Good stage finish’s and 2 high GC finishes. Really happy with this race! Let’s hope the season ends in this form!!!

HelloFresh last year would also disagree. I understand the frustration from Fabianski but you can't win every race you participate in. One more stage on this race and Hoem is probably broken and finish around where Potocki ended up finishing which is a bit more of a median placement. A little sad about the hard work from Battistella and company kind ending up wasted with Potocki unable to convert today. But congrats to Bjartne on a great win!
Stüssi has a strong stage racer this year and a rider like Talansky has really overperormed by a country mile (Andorra). There's no TT here to work with sadly and I think that he can end up performing pretty well in a lot of PCT races next year when they become more available to you. A race like Bayern in particular should be fantastic for Stüssi. He will not win it but will perform well in those types of races. He's also a rider I'd be very interested to see in a ToA setting, I think he'd be a really solid rider there. Even with missing some goals, I think that the worse he performs while you still promote within reason you end up saving on wages which might be great.
Thanks for a great set of reports.

oof well that was a debacle. Keough a total no show on the sprint stages and Warbasse collapsing. Still waiting for a good mountain stage from him (guess that will have to come next year now), but here I think he has an excuse in that he was alone for a long time. Maybe should have held one of my climbers back from ToA to be here with him.
Not been a good few races, more about hanging on to a podium than challenging for the CT win. Warbasse pretty much done so it is up to the ToA squad and Boswell to give us a another highlight.
Congrats to Tafjord - the late charge is on. Thanks Nemo for the reports.

I couldn't believe my own eyes when Hoem came up with the decisive attack on one of CT's absolute finest riders, Stüssi, at the final slope. I really feel for you Fabianski! Hoem have only scored 15 points through the entire season before this race, and that's only accumulated minor GC-placements iirc.
But this impressive show should bring our total tally up to around 100 points for this race if im not wrong.
Top 5 seems out of reach, but suddenly not too far off (what might be) the important 6th-7th-8th place in the team rankings. Could the impossible be happening?
Thanks alot Nemolito for your brilliant coverage! |

Either you're too modest, or you're looking at the 2017 point scales for C2 You definitely got more than 100 points with that Hoem show. Let's not ignore your 3 other riders in the Top 25 as well
I guess Hoem has been clearly underperforming this year, so this one stage brings his tally about to the correct level. I'm not mad, those things happen. I'm just a bit unhappy that Stüssi only won one of his 4 C2 mountain stage races (to be fair, one of them was won by Masnada, though). And as I said before, you were due a great result, with all those underperformances by your riders this year.

Oh, great news! I was indeed using the 2017 point scales, I have had it bookmarked the last 6 years, haha. How long since we changed? |

It was changed this year, because there are no more C2HC races. So the new C2 scale is now slightly higher than the previous one, but still lower than C2HC was.
Here's the new file btw:

Love seeing Mu Arifin take the KOM, but why oh why did he go in the break? He was 6th in GC before the stage and rode like a madman alone to get to the final climb before being caught, he was clearly on a really good day. He could have been up there with the top riders fighting for the win if he wasn’t in the break and it would have been a great result for an Indonesian rider. Kolar continuing his shithouse season stings too, considering even as a PCT rider is one of the strongest here. What is wrong with him?
Congrats Bjartne, always love seeing your team do well! Even since moving from Asia to Scandinavia Hope you can get back to PCT next year.
Thanks for the reports, they were lovely

First of all congratulations to all stage winners and Fabianski for the GC as well as Nemo for the great reports.
We are quite happy with our own results as well. Two stage podiums and a 4th place in the GC are about the best results in a stage race this season. And yet it's a bit disappointing that Teuns didn't really fought for the stage win in stage 3, leaving Berlin leading the chasing group for us (and finishing 4th). Some more love for Berlin for his 11th place overall, especially after Fab took him as a bad example

A kinda ordinary race for our Staffbase - BHP team this season. Nothing extraordinary happened. We showed our colors a few time in the beginning of the stages but couldnt compete till the end. At this time of the year I already know how my team is able to perform so I am not dissapointed but i wished they would have surprised me
Congratulations to the winners and thanks for the reporting!

At least I got my fair share in adressing the wrong people in this thread
So congratulations to Bjartne, of course!
