Please don't use the names Van Hooydonck or Omloop any more, especially not in one sentence Probably the most points I'd have got in one race all season and I actively decided to not nominate him out of the 9 riders who actually rode this weekend
The odds are good I won't make such a mistake this time, as right now only 4 riders are on any of the startlists (accumulating 5 racedays)...
KB Cobblers, block 2
KRAGH ANDERSEN Sören
KÃœNG Stefan
KWIATKOWSKI Michal
HERREGODTS Rune
WILLIAMS Stephen
BAGIOLI Andrea
LAMPAERT Yves
TURGIS Anthony

It won't be mentioned again! And if it makes you feel any better, last year we had actual race winners and a monument podium finisher also forgotten by their manager.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Yep, iirc I missed out on Barguil's win last year, missing a squad update due to some absence...

Sadly the startlists aren't improving much. Deadline in still in 12 hours though.

First zero-pointer for us... Of course, Lotto have to win the race in a sprint when their sprinter is neither De Lie nor Ewan Commiserations to Bikex, really unlucky to miss out due to an unlucky selection.
Looks like I was far too enthusiastic about getting Page; he looked really good last year, but with a 110th place and a DNF today as our first starter, he's been completely useless.

My pick for
1/03/2023 Trofeo Laigueglia CT1
4/03/2023 Strade Bianchi WT1
5/03/2023 GP Monsére CT2
I know I missed Le Samyn, I assume.
ALAPHILIPPE Julian
SENECHAL Florian
PICCOLO Andrea
MOSCHETTI Matteo
PEDERSEN Casper
BURGAUDEAU Mathieu
DUJARDIN Sandy
FERRON Valentin
Between the lack of cohesion for Soudal-Quickstep and the lack of presence of Total Direct Energies, I have low expectations, really low. Maybe Alaphillippe, but Strade Bianchi is a race with a lot of risks.
On other news, the form of Skjelmose, wow!
Regarding the first results, I just got lucky with a win, but no other riders had any chance during the first week-end.
I really hope more for the following weeks when the big guns will race some one-week races and the one-day races may be more open.

If you miss the deadline, you get the same team as in the previous round.
So another small disaster in Le Samyn, the Red Lanterns lose 60 points and the chance to take the lead for now. The Nosepickers did pick up something and move to the upper half of the rankings, but the biggest winner are the Tulips with Theuns and Teunissen, moving away from the last place.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

It was a difficult decision who to omit, who could've guessed that Menten would win. At least Mozzato my other rider in this race also did well. |

No points from the first two races, if I'm not mistaken, and two riders who won't end up racing at all this block. But we have a pretty decent team for Strade, so hopefully we'll get some points there. Rui Costa DNF in Laigueglia, hopefully he didn't get hurt. We'll see on Saturday ...

You got two breakaway points with Aniolkowski
Again an undrafted winner in Laigueglia, but a few teams get some extra points in, especially the W and the Hornets. In the rankings the Red Lanterns are really closing in on the 59'ers, with the Paladins in third for now. Everything is still very close together though, so after the big points of Strade Bianchi we will probaly have a new leader.

It's nice to know I'm closing in to the top but with Pogacar deciding not to do Strade Bianche this year, I feel like I won't score much.
Tratnik not doing any races this block after having been on startlists before, makes excluding Menten in my selection even more unfortunate. |

Rota repeating last year's 4th place in Laigueglia is fine. It did look even better at one point, where Ciccone was in the front group as well - but like most others, he didn't even finish the race. I don't think it's a good thing if only 35 riders actually finish, but I guess that's just normal nowadays.
For Strade, at least I correctly guessed Clarke, but I left out Higuita. When I saw Vlasov on the provisional startlist, I thought Higuita wouldn't participate, but I obviously was wrong. Now up to him to get me another pointless win ^^
Ewan will make his debut for me in Monseré - it'd be the same for van Lerberghe and Welsford who still aren't confirmed, though. But it does look like all 8 riders I nominated will actually do at least one race

I don't have Sagan here due to the late startlist, but based on his performances so far, that won't be a problem. Hussars look scary here though.
