Another great win for Grosu, just like he should be winning. Congrats alex, well deserved!
It's just too bad for us that this first week of hilly sprints gets us nothing with a squad specifically built to support our mediocre hilly sprinters.
Thanks for all the reports, they have been great so far!

Great stuff by Grosu! Once again I'm happy with Madrazo consistently positioned near the front, and Eyob was with him as well, which was good to see. Ndayisenga all the way outside the Top 80 on the other hand ... well, hopefully he saves himself for the mountains.

Well done to Kelderman for taking that away from the sprinters. Another massive win for his team. Congrats Nemo.
Weird to see Van der Sande work from so far out, but it's actually refreshing to see Van Stayen fighting for a result and taking 4th on the day. Good to see Almeida holding his nerve on the GC front as well.

Wow, incredible stuff from Wilco! A rather easy stage but the final (and first) hill managed to drain the domestiques just enough to stay ahead with his attack later on. Great work from the team all day, love to read Ruiz being an important domestique on that climb. We came here (and to other GT's) mainly in the hope of winning stages, and to get that first GT win ever for the team rather soon definitely takes the pressure of the rider's shoulders for the following stages
Thanks for another great report, Ulrich, and thanks for the congrats Gustav.

5 days and still 0 points. Doesn't look too great tbh. Can only hope to improve, otherwise the first ever GT with all greek riders certainly wasn't succesful.

So not a pucheur after all
At least Grosu gets to spend another day in second place in the GC.

Awful AI but very happy for Nemolito to take the win and for Gayral for one more day in the KOM jersey, hope TMM is proud!

Surprise win
Hopefully there are two more chances for Dainese in the next three days, before we get to the mountains. |

What a win from Wilco! Didn’t think that attack would stick, but he was just strong enough to hang on. Congrats Nemo!

And now the race properly begins for Lecuisinier. Would be dope to get into the pink immediately. Could be a coin flip between Bernal and Lecuisinier for that, ideally that climb between km 30 and km 34 will give Lecuisinier the edge.
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

Goos is riding a nice first week here. Not worth a lot of points but he is up there and due to the TT 4th even. Wonder how long he can keep this up. At one point he likely will drop down to a spot, that might see him go for breaks as well.
Carboni meanwhile a bit disappointing so far with all the losses, but let`s see if he can use that GC gap later on.
Munoz the big positive really with all his early KoM attempts, while Groenewegen was likely a mistake here. Had hoped the flat stages with just one late bump would see him still be able to go for it. Maybe though he sometimes also is ignored a bit as well. But in the end shouldn`t have send him here I guess. |

TT's are indeed very stupid to report, I think that style of reporting was perfectly fine and as always it turned into a great report.
Result for Los Pollos, bit less great Congratulations Bikex

I really enjoyed that report! It was both easy to follow and entertaining to read, contained all relevant informations while being (I assume) fairly efficient. I might well take some inspiration from that if I become tired of spending multiple hours on my TT reports
As far as the racing is concerned, I'm very happy with Madrazo's performance. The time losses to Bernal and Lecuisinier were arguably lower than expected and he gained time on all other contenders, in part significantly. I'm curious if there are any GC gaps tomorrow, and then I'm very excited for the mountains to begin after that!

Disappointing tt by Lecuisinier. Lost the battle vs Bernal, didnt gain a lot on Madrazo and also was beaten by a few guys i didnt expect to be 100% competitive on this profile.
So I hate reporting TT's. It is a pain because it doesn't have a narrative like a race. So I took a different approach here. I found it much easier this way, so unless people really hate it will probably be my future approach
I will never blame anybody for hating TTs and am just happy that someone sacrifices himself to report them in the first place
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

I'm well aware of the efforts being carried out by Gayral, bet you didn't expect the loanee to pop up with more than the minimum GT points
