I'll be rooting for Dusan to rip apart the CT sprints

Really, really good transfer season for you, congrats! Bringing in two good climbers and sprinters alongside the nice quality you already had on hills, in TTs and on cobbles makes you one of the top promotion contenders in my eyes! Well done to fit all that quality in a CT wage cap
Thanks mate! Really happy with how transfers went! I think we successfully filled the squad out! Really hoping to promote after 7 years

Agree with Fabianski. Not too much change, but the change that did happen was very solid. And you have a very cool setup for this season. Congrats

So will I @redordead!!! So will I!!!
Thanks SotD!! We believe depth was added in the right places as well as strong leaders in the right place. Can't wait to see the team racing this year!
Country | Race | Objective | Result | Achieved? | | Isle of Man ITT | Win | - | - | | Windhoek TTT | Top 5 | - | - | | Zuri Metzgete | Top 5 | - | - | | Herald Sun Tour | Top 5 | - | - | | CT Team Standings | Top 5 | - | - |
Isle of Man ITT is our main goal this season with the return of Bilguunjargal Erdenebat! He will be aiming for this race and will shape the second half of his season around this race specifically!
Erdenebat will also be the leader in the Windhoek TTT. He will be accompanied by the best time trialists on the squad and attempt to lead them to a top 5!
Zuri Metzgete is a race we have won before with Joshua Edmondson. We will be sending him there with a goal of a top 5. We hope he can get a strong result and prove to the world he is still a great cyclist after a dismal season as the British national champion.
Finally, we have the Herald Sun Tour. A TTers paradise and again, a goal for Erdenebat! We have built a lot of our goals around Erdenebat and we hope he can deliver. We are hoping for a top 5 in Australia and can't wait to see Erdenebat in action!
With all of these goals and a strong overall team to get excellent results elsewhere, we hope to achieve a top 5 in the CT standings and promote next season. This is a big goal for us and we hope to achieve this one specifically!

Thanks MacC and Laurens147!! Very excited for the season ahead!
This draft has become a very exciting and great event for the continental tour! We have taken part in the draft a few times already and its never easy deciding what direction to head in. We have made some terrible draft picks, but also some excellent ones (Cameron Scott). This year we went for the route of finding mountain support but also getting a strong domestique throughout multiple terrains. Someone who can get into the breakaway and succeed. A real everything guy. Here's how we went.
Here is our everything guy. Batmunkh is our Mongolian allrounder! He was our first pick in the draft and we really believe he will make a huge impact for the squad in lead outs and in the breakaway. He will be an excellent lieutenant on the cobbles as well to Munk and Orue. We can't wait to see him in the colours and see what he can do with us!

We went home to find this one. Nick Miller is our Kiwi mountain support. He will make a huge impact in the climbs and with excellent backing stats, we cannot wait to see what he can do with the squad!

With the final riders announced we are ready to share with you our full squad! Here is team BNZ-Superhero Racing for the 2022 season! We are very excited for our promotion push this season and we can't wait to see how the team goes! (Especially excited that Edmondson has no National Champion curse anymore )

I definitely agree that promotion should be possible this year! The climbing department looks great, especially Vasyliv was a nice signing for you. In terms of puncheurs, you look even better set than myself, having two really competent riders for short and steep uphills.
Erdenebat is kind of the lone wolf in your TT department, but I'm sure he'll give you some nice points. Prologues look even better than long TTs thanks to Kopfauf - who I hoped wouldn't find a CT home
You also have a decent cobbles leader, although he might not score as well as one might hope, given his really bad acceleration. On the other hand, your sprinter department looks great; both Rajovic and Nizzolo could do really well in CT.
Let's see how far your journey goes - but I do have some solid hopes of it ending up with promotion, hopefully alongside the GIANTS

Thanks Fabianski and Abhishek!
It'll be a good year and I have a lot of faith in the squad I've built! Really glad I could get a well rounded squad that can challenge on all terrain!
I'm excited to see Erdenebat in action mostly just because of how much interest he got during the transfer season. I hope he can deliver for us to prove keeping him here was the right thing to do!

I agree! Hillis did a great job!! And Thankyou! Really special having the Australian national champion on the team after what started as an Australian team and kept a partnership with Aussie companies and a major Aussie sponsor now as well. Very excited to see how Watson goes with the jersey!

CT Rankings Update (End of April)
At the end of April we are looking really good in the CT Rankings. Projected to finish within the top 5 currently at the end of the season after a really excellent 2 months of racing from the team! Kopfauf has pushed the team forward with the help of Rajovic and Erdenebat! Vasyliv has had some time off racing and should be back racing soon.
So far Edmondson has not had his best season with only a small number of top 10 finishes. He will also be back racing again soon and he should improve his results throughout the season. Kopfauf is our highest ranked rider in the rider rankings and we hope he can continue his excellent prologue form throughout the season!

It has been our best season in history so far this season and with the effort put in by the team over the previous off season, we believe this is no fluke. Last season was definitely an anomaly and we are very excited and happy to see a dramatic improvement this season. Let's have a look at some of those key moments of the season so far!
We can't seem to go past the Vuelta al Tachira as a key moment of the season. Yuriy Vasyliv is probably our best stage racer we have ever signed and this was his first race of the year. Finishing 3rd on stage 4 and finally 2nd in the GC really showed us that he could mix it with the best of the CT division.
Unfortunately the many TTTs in CT stage races this season made it difficult for him to get a lot of high results but he really showed us what he's got in the stage races and now he has already started well in the Tour of America which is his final race of the season and also the most important for him.
Stage 6 of the Volta a Catalunya saw victory #1 for the season. Believe it or not its our rider who got our last victory as well. Nicholas Schultz spent the whole day in the attack in stage 6 of the Spanish stage race and really put on a show! He was better then the rest of his breakaway companions and rode them all off his wheel to ride to a solo victory and really showed he isn't messing around this season. He missed out on the KOM jersey by only 6 points in the end.
This next one is the race that surprised us all!
Jelajah SKL is a race we did not expect to do this well in. However, we didn't know how good new signing Markus Kopfauf would really be. Markus Kopfauf was around the front for most of the stage race. 12th in stage 1 only 5 seconds down, in the bunch for the sprint in stage 2, He finished 12th on the hilly stage which surprised us all in stage 3 and then finally, in stage 4 he showed us what he can really do. He put in a blistering time in the final ITT and took an incredible win that also won him and the team our first EVER GC victory! Rajovic also won the U25 division.
Just to top off this good form for Markus Kopfauf. He takes his 2nd stage victory of the season in his next race, the Tour of California. He won the opening prologue and put himself into the yellow jersey for stage 2.
The Tour of California will probably turn out as our best race to date as well. 3 stage victories in total. Kopfauf in stage 1, Dusan Rajovic with his first victory with the team in stage 2, and very surprising winner, who bet Bilguunjargal Erdenebat in the ITT, Timothy Roe. A surprise stage winner but we couldn't be happier for him. A veteren of the team and original member all those years ago, He really deserved the win that he took!
A great season so far but not even half way through. The next big event comes from new signing Giacomo Nizzolo. We signed him as a back up sprinter for the races we wanted a sprinter at that could contend but didn't want to waste the days on Rajovic. This is the Tour de Romandie and boy did Nizzolo deliver. He took a clear victory on the final day of this C1 race in Switzerland and got us the points we wanted when we signed up for this race.
That's victory number 7 for the team in season 2023.
The final 2 victories that we have achieved up until the Tour of America came from 2 classics. Dusan Rajovic hadn't won since the Tour of California and felt he wanted more.
Two back 2 back victories at sprint classics for him have really topped off our season and kept us in the promotion fight!
They came at the Uppsala Classic.
and the Betonexpressz GP
And that's our key moments of the season so far! Last thing to share is the latest CT standings.
We are sitting up the order but not quite high enough. We would like to be higher and expect a big Tour of America and final part of the season to help us do that. We believe we can with 2 goals to come as well as the CT Grand Tour which has started off well for us so far.

We will keep you updated following the Tour of America and the finale to the season.

Congrats on your first ever GC win, and on some more really great performances. Especially Rajovic is having a great time with you, and I'm still somewhat regretting not having been able to fit him in
Kopfauf being stronger than Chavanne this year still annoys me a bit, but I guess prologues still are kind of dice rolls, so kudos for having signed him
All the best for your promotion charge, it would be great to see you again in PCT next year!

Yes Rajovic is excellent so far for us! As is Kopfauf. Really happy with that signing and his performance!
Yes if we can have a big ToA then promotion could seem like a very reasonable goal for us I think.
