Maybe they should switch to the track, local legend Henok Tesfaye Heyi would demolish the walker Lopez in a race
24/02/21 - kandesbunzler said “I don't drink famous people."
15/08/22 - SotD said "Your [jandal's] humour is overrated"
11/06/24 - knockout said "Winning is fine I guess. Truth be told this felt completely unimportant."

Free Agent Signing #1: Alekss Krasts
Alekss Krasts (21) FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | XP | 69 | 70 | 69 | 69 | 69 | 68 | 67 | 59 | 66 | 68 | 71 | 72 | 69 | 1.0 | 70 | 78 | 73 | 75 | 73 | 73 | 74 | 59 | 66 | 70 | 73 | 73 | 75 | 4.100 |
We are glad to announce our first signing of the season and one of our future faces in Latvia: Super talented 21 year old Aleks Krasts starts his professional cycling career and will earn 100k for his season. He was our top priority for this season's free agency.
Alekss is a talent that can climb and time trial well and we project him to be a complete stage racer for the one week races. We are currently discussing with him whether he joins a smaller team on loan for an easier transition into pro cycling.
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

Abhi - For sure. So glad that i could sign him. And love his stats too. Should be very valuable going forward - and it's cool to have some valuable and useful semi leaders from Latvia after the previous generation is getting up there in ages.
Eriks Toms Gavars (25) FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | XP | 70 | 74 | 72 | 73 | 70 | 72 | 71 | 58 | 67 | 69 | 69 | 67 | 72 | 4.0 | 70 | 76 | 73 | 74 | 71 | 73 | 73 | 58 | 67 | 69 | 69 | 67 | 73 | 4.100 |
The second signing of the season, the second young Latvian, the second stage race prospect: Eriks Toms Gavars is 25 and will immediately play an important role in our climbing squad. He was another one of our highest priority riders and we convinced him only minutes after Krasts to sign a contract worth 75,000.
He is the strongest on the longer climb but is able to pull his weight in all sorts of stage races and can even do this thing called time trials fairly well. In the hypothetical situation that we can sign a strong GT leader replacement for Taaramae, he would be an important domestique.

Two brilliant signings. Both fairly high up my priority list too, but had to get my priority riders in first. Kinda hoped Krasts would stay open for longer, so I had a shot at him. On my list he was valuated at 250K wage alongside my almost similar greek rider. Bargain for the both of us IMO

Huge fan of both these guys regardless of nationality, them being two young Latvians is just amazing for you

SotD - I'm glad that i made a habit out of fairly large opening offers this year. Gotta say that your greek rider was similarly high on my list as well
Abhishek - I guess that is true
jandal - absolutely, i would have liked them both without there nationalities too but the nationality pushed them towards top target material.

Kristers Ansons (23) | FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | XP | Kristers Ansons | 71 | 66 | 68 | 69 | 69 | 69 | 66 | 66 | 69 | 71 | 68 | 67 | 68 | 2.0 | SR - SR - SR | 72 | 72 | 72 | 75 | 73 | 73 | 72 | 66 | 69 | 72 | 69 | 67 | 74 | 4.100 | Fi - Fi - Fi | 78 | 69 | 71 | 72 | 73 | 73 | 70 | 69 | 72 | 75 | 74 | 70 | 71 | 4.100 | Sp - Fi - Sp | 78 | 67 | 69 | 70 | 73 | 71 | 71 | 69 | 74 | 77 | 70 | 68 | 69 | 4.100 |
Third free agent signing and it's once again a latvian talent. 23-year-old Kristers Ansons starts his professional cycling career with us after signing a contract worth 50,000.
One of his biggest strengths right now is his versatility and we will put that to good use by letting him race on various different terrains this season. For the future, it is still unknown how Ansons will develop. He has the potential to grow into a time triallist or stage racer but we also see the idea of developing him into an exciting rouleur or allrounder.
What would you do with his development?

Three great regional signings, congratulations. I think all the paths for Ansons could make him valuable to be fair. Although my mind can't handle the format being a bit incorrect We need someone to come up with some kind of tool to put rider tables on the forum in an easy way.

Awesome regional riders, pretty perfect for your squad. Though the big price is obviously still to come

Cro - I agree. Talking about the big price:
Pierre-Henri Lecuisinier (29) FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | 71 | 85 | 75 | 77 | 78 | 80 | 79 | 65 | 67 | 74 | 65 | 70 | 77 |
Pierre-Henri Lecuisinier is our first transfer signing for this season. He was easily the top target on our shortlist of 1. A modest transfer package valued slightly over 5,000,000 was enough to land our new Grand Tour leader.
He is the winner of the 2020 Vuelta d'Espana, the winner of the 2021 Tour de France and will attempt to add another Grand Tour to his career highlights this year.

Lecuisinier and Lopez in one team, you've gotta hate riding against you this year and especially in the upcoming ones. Awesome signing, didn't really expect SotD to sell him until the very end. Good for you

Evonik is truly a stage racing team now. Gotta win another GT this year

cro - If you are refering to the rankings, i'd say more so for the next couple of years than this year already. My squad could be very poorly balanced and the PTHC bands i picked dont offer me good Lecuisinier schedule options. I see this as a rebuild year setting us up for the next couple of seasons in case i ever want to properly attack the PT title again.
red - Last season i didnt want to accept the "stage race team" naming because i still felt like the classics were most integral to the team identity and we were just quite well balanced allround. This year i have to accept it. So yeah, let's go for the next GT
Abhi - Not for this year And no Win TDF Goal this year
Thanks!
