After a super successful transfer season, we've been able to stage a decently successfull rebuild by investing in youth, bringing in a couple of older, experienced heads and strengthening our home-grown core of riders.

Warchol winning Stage 18 of the 2020 Vuelta Espana
Our GC team is headed by Warchol, coming off a very successful first maxed season that saw him take a stage win in the Vuelta and amazingly finish in 12th overall. In the off-season, he's been spotted high in the Java mountains perfecting his climbing technique which we hope translates to more results on the road. He leads alongside new recruit from the defunct Repsol team Eddie Dunbar who was secured from the Free Agency for uh, quite a fee. Dunbar was the team's main target coming into the transfer season and we are thrilled to have him lead the team for many years to come.

As a team that has always had a solid sprinting department, we were disappointed last year that main man Vanderbiest and an ageing Goss couldn't deliver any results. We've has the aformentioned riders as well as a peak Kruopis and Kristoff ride for us in recent years and thought it'd be time to bring in another accomplished sprinter in Australian Leigh Howard He's an accomplished sprinter that has ridden for the Amaysim team since the dawn of time/ We've made a number of inquiries over the years about him, and as soon as we saw he was on the open market knew what had to be done. He'll be supported by the Swiss man Dylan Page and locals Suryadi, Gani and Nur Hasan during the season.

After two season of having Bakelandts lead the team, we decided to let him go and focus on other areas. However, the opportunity arose to sign Jensen from the Free Agency as surprisingly nobody had any real interest in him so we went in for him and came away with a steal. As a result of him not being a planned transfer, he doesn't have a wealth of support but will have Luchshenko, Setiawa, Arifin and Phodingam to lead him around during the season.

Season Outlook
Our primary goals during transfers were to strengthen our Indonesian + young rider contingent, as well as to bring in a few older heads to lead the team and hopefully ensure our survival from relegation. With Howard, Jensen and Dunbar secure from the FA we feel that we will be able to survive the season with some careful planning. The team's weakness is obviously a significant lack of depth due to having so many developing riders riding for us and abroad this season. We take solace in knowing it's only a short term weakness as riders continue to progress with their development, they'll max out and provide depth in future seasons. With careful planning, Dunbar is expected to have a huge season in his last where he is U25 eligible and before training next season. Warchol has also been trained to lead the team in GC races alongside Dunbar. Whilst we can't reveal his calendar yet, there will most definitely be a few surprises.
Only two races for us in the month of February, where we should hopefully see some action in Portugal before sending our youth to Belgium to gain some experience.

Jensen will be aiming to attack the 4 hill stages chasing stage wins. He should be in a good GC position from the outset also due to his PRL and can hopefully remain consistent enough with his attacking stats to stay within the top-20 in the GC. Dunbar was considered, but due to fears of a strong start list was withdrawn from the team. Arif Prayogo and Hofer to be competitive in the prologue, and will hopefully not over exert themselves throughout the race to be competitive in the final TT. Suryadi will target the two early sprint stages. Setiawa will have a free role. Nur Hasan, Abdurrhaman and Phodignam will continue their development as water carriers.

Breaks, breaks, and more breaks is the only way of achieving anything out of this race. We don’t expect to score any points whatsoever, so pooled together youth + a few riders with remaining RDs with the faint hope they can manage to join the early break. Gani is a strong rider and if the cobbled sections are ridden easily he could hang on, but probably won’t survive given previous results.
Conclusion
We should score ok in Portugal at the very least, looking at previous results. After Omloop we have a large break until late March so we should come into the first rankings update with only 4 races under our belt and expect to be close to bottom. Not to worry though as it’s not until April that we start properly racing and hope to score well from then on.
Interesting team you send to Portugal. Think you can score on any terrain there, except for the last stage probably. Jensen might still hang on long enough for a decent GC though

Almost half our team this past season were unmaxed, and as the season has now come to an end these riders have taken the next step in their development.
Jan Xandri
Xandri spent his final year of development (and first year as part of our team) on loan at Evonik - ELKO in the PT where he scored 114 points. His schedule followed PT kingping Taaramae around where he learnt a lifetimes' worth of knowledge from the GT champion. He has arrived in Indonesia for the pre-season where he'll meet and train with his new teammates and slip right in to the GC squad for next season nicely.

Rohendi also joined the team last transfers and was immediately sent out on loan to PT team Mapei where he had a completely free role and managed to score 174 points. He returns much better off with a newfound wealth of knowledge and experience that can hopefully be utilised in the coming season. He's a very well rounded climber/stage racer and if he can stay focused, he might find himself improving even more into his senior years.

He was originally going to be developed into a basic puncheur with an eye to train his uphill ability in the future, but it was decided that the current hil/tt hybrid route would be more interesting and unique. He does prefer to ride the more aerodynamic TT bike, so there may still be some future improvement in that area.

He'll finish his development as a very very well rounded sprinter next season and we would love to be able to invest in his future development. We're still yet to have a victory from an Indonesian rider in 7 years, so if we don't break the duck this year Nur Hasan will be the man.

We love the team building and rider composition of jph's Farfetch squad, so when the opportunity arose to steal one of their young climbers for next to nothing we couldn't resist. He's another rider who will need a PT loan move to finish his development so may even find his way back to his former team for a year yet. Verschaeve encapsulates the classic old-school climber mould, he's great uphill and has lovely energy stats.

Fully developed, he'll be the strongest puncheur packaged and made in Indonesia so far. He'll become a cookie-cutter puncheur that should be pretty handy if we still have a hilly leader this time in a few seasons.

Wibisono joined this past season along with Yudha, but only managed to rise one development level. He was our highest priority signing (even over Mr. 815k) and we believe that he can be the future of Indonesian cycling along with Nur Hasan. With planned future investment, he can actually become quite an interesting rider, and not at a huge cost either. Plans come and go, but hopefully we'll be in a position to be able to make it happen.

Season 2021 started with Indosat as nailed on favourites to do the dreaded double-relegation back down to the CT division. Looking at the roster coming into the season, two things stood out - we had spent an absurd amount on a promising young Irish rider and as a result the team lacked any depth. Big seasons would be needed from the four team leaders in Howard, Jensen, Dunbar and Warchol as well as riders like Page and Suryadi scraping up any minor points to even have a shot at staying up. After a shockingly bad start, Howard and Jensen kept the points flowing stabilising things just enough to keep us on the cusp of the relegation zone through the mid season heading towards the end of the season. Warchol and Dunbar stepped up and their run of results in the teams’ last few races (Warchol’s 2nd GC in ToA, but particularly Dunbar’s fun few days out in Germany) ultimately saved the team from relegation right at the death. Thanks to their efforts, we will continue to build a competitive squad and improve our home core of riders in the PCT division (at least for another season )

Howard had a terrific season, placing as the highest individually ranked rider for the team. He rode exceptionally well when he was motivated, but unfortunately struggled throughout the season with making consistent efforts. He was a key rider in us staying up this past season and we're looking forward to what damage he can do in the PCT division in 2022.

Dunbar had a patchy season as our stage race co-lead alongside Warchol. The pre-season planning objective was to keep the two seperated and to divvy up the climbing/stage races between them. This approach produced mixed results, as it seems the team would have been better off prioritising one rider over the other (even with the riding style differences). Despite this, Eddie still smashed out a decent haul of points and ultimately saved our asses by dominating the Bayern Rundfahrt, winning the last stage in dramatic fashion to keep us up. And yes, we are still celebrating His development should continue into next season where he will hopefully return stronger.

Jensen led the team in the hillier races this season, arriving from the defunct PT team Volvo. He had little to no support at all and had to fend for himself in every race this season. Along with that, the PCT's insane quality and quantity of puncheurs was going to make it difficult for Jensen to score points. As a result Jensen had to race aggressively and ride for results himself. With no support and a stacked competition, he attacked in more races than any rider who's ever ridden for the team and managed to pull off two of the greatest individual victories in the team's history! Two long-range attacks in the Balkans and Portugal have cemented Jensen in the teams folklore and have also proved a point for next season - that this man needs some support, dammit!

Warchol had a steady season, with the huge highlight being his performance in the Tour of America. He had a solid enough season after his pre-season training, and showed what a capable climber he can be. He ultimately suffered the same fate as Jensen though as he had little to no support - Arifin and to an extent King Power loanee Phodignam were about it. Considering this massive hurdle, he performed quite well and was always there or thereabouts on most stages. The question must be asked of what he can achieve with a proper team behind him considering his solo ToA heroics however, and of him and Dunbar will be able to find a happy equilibrium together next season.

Wrap-up
Overall, season 2021 was a massive success. The team took a huge gamble going all-in on a single rider with the hope to build a future around him. The fee was astronomical, but thankfully with a few smart deals and a bit of luck 3 leaders were found with basement wages to head the team. The complete lack of depth was obvious from the beginning, as nearly half of our riders were unmaxed and not point scoring threats whatsoever. This lack of depth was an issue in almost every race - it was only some amazing individual performances that ultimately kept us up. Thankfully this has already changed going into 2022, with a bunch of riders returning from loan bolster the roster. Hopefully enough to keep us going for another season as we hope to continue to develop this wonderful sport of cycling at the PCT level in Indonesia.
