Darn it, De Bondt was on top of my shortlist for the last rounds but I wanted more puncheurs in the end. Could have been a 1-2-3. Still, a nice boost for us.
No riders in Laigueglia though, let's just hope De Plus doesn't win it now.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

I should have taken Hofstetter and leave Turgis for you. Also don't know why I chose Rickaert (so early as well) instead of for example De Bondt, at least I was wise enough to go for De Bondt in Sporza Wielermanager

Good to see Mozzato appear on the scoreboard, although it's just minor points. Too bad the group wasn't caught, but points are points
Great 1-2 for the Paladins btw! Defeating all 6 Belgians there, you didn't make too many friends I guess ^^

Well I usualy watch cycling on my own, so no one to stop me from cheering on both Hofstetter and Trentin to make it a 1-2

So, Le Samyn saw the Hornets and the Paladins pretty much close the gap to the Pacifiers. The Bombers with their first zero pointer, but the Roughnecks scored 0 in 3/5 races so far.
Trofeo Laigueglia underway, some teams can score big here. In hindsight, I may have overvalued this race as CT1, because I'm really not impressed with that startlist, both in terms of quality and punctuality.

And Laigueglia saw the Pacifiers create a gap again?
Covi in third with two teammates on the podium and Rodriguez, who I added last minute, in the race as well in fifth. Noice.

Actually it's the Hussars who scored best today! Ayuso and Ulissi outscore Covi and Rodriguez. The Fainthearts also score pretty well, everyone else gets a zeropointer!

Too bad Rota couldn't pull it through, he'd have needed a teammate there... He looked so strong, but 1 vs 3 isn't that fair
Still a good result with 4th and 10th. Just hope Battistella is fine; he was part of that group of 22 and then DNF... Not the luckiest start of the season so far.

Block 2 results
Is the game over already? No, but the Pacifiers did win another big race with Strade Bianchi and look really good so far. They increase the gap yet again and have an early lead over the other teams. Interstingly enough, Strade has less total scoring than Omloop, despite being rated higher.
GP Monseré was the least scoring race so far, with a few smaller names in the points and a few managers probably cursing themselves for not drafting De Bondt. The Hornets did not mind though, they got a 1-4 in this race and climb back onto the podium.
The Bald Beagles and the Roughnecks scored really well in Strade and shoot up the rankings. The Bananas scored poorly and drop a few places alongside the Bombers, who did not score at all this block. Finaly the Lemmings should probably consider jumping off a cliff at this point.

Not drafting De Bondt will probably haunt me for a while. Alaphillipe crashing in Strade didn't help either. Hofstetter didn't do the best sprint, but at least he's scoring consistently.

Must admit I wasn`t checking carefully on Van der Poel`s comeback plans. Was hoping he would have started a bit earlier.
Plus some unlucky results so far for the team. Can only hope to improve at some point. |

Drafting the almighty two has been a great thing so far. Obviously also lucky that they have had no problems with crashes/ilnesses so far, whereas many other potentially big scoring guys did. Also being haunted for not drafting De Bondt, same with Narvaez. Really liked him last year but feared he would be a pure dom with all the Ineos class riders.

Some of the French classics have been moved a few days so I need to adjust the calendar once again unfortunately.

Shambolic block from our side, may the next ones be more favorable (in other words, have more riders racing )

The Calm before the Storm
13/03/2022 Ronde van Drenthe CT2
16/03/2022 Nokere Koerse CT1
16/03/2022 Milano - Turino CT1
17/03/2022 GP Denain CT1
With 4 continental races this block, it will be interesting to see who also focused on these classics. The most interesting race is probably Milano-Turino, which used to be an autumn classic, but is now a spring classic again. Who will use these small races to score some big points?
I'm slightly worried for the Italian startlist again, while Denain also looking quite empty at the moment. But there's still time, as I only need your final startlists by sunday 13/03 at noon normal europe time.
