Suisse domination as they sweep the podium with Jolanda Neff, Sina Frei and Linda Indergand winning gold, silver and bronze respectively

The swiss really outshined everyone here. Wonder if they prepares better for this wet course or where the difference came from. Seems to have been a very demanding race, Stigger looked empty when she climbed off. Sad for Lecomte, but she will get other chances. same goes for vas, what a talent!

There's a decent chance KBV will be an acronym of similar magnitude as AVV and AvdB in the future.

I'm really happy for Blanka Kata Vas. I would have loved to see her winning a medal, but she did an awesome race nonetheless. She became one of my favorites watching her racing at cyclo-cross. Now I'll follow her road racing too, because she had signed with the monster team that is SD Worx. |

Also Ferrand-Prévot, what happened to her? Wasn't she supposed to the next Marianne Vos?
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

I think she had a mechanical problem. I am not exactly sure, I was caught between work and watching the race, but I believe I saw her with a bike problem. |

I meant more in general, she got like cyclocross, mountainbike and road rainbow jerseys a few years ago, but after that I didn't hear much of her.

This article gives an explanation: https://www.cycli...-olympics/
Basically, came back too early from a stress fracture, which then caused sciatica, and she also had some illiac artery issues… all since 2016, which hampered her development. |

Now AvV has her gold, dominant display and huge gap to 2nd placed. Swiss women are very busy collecting medals, Kiesenhofer's luck she lives there too.

Evenepoel overtaking Porte in the first lap wow
off course Evenepoel is miles better than Porte but not by this much
And Houle is still faster than Evenepoel, what kind of monster time did he put in
