Pro Cyclist - Race Objectives

Hey guys. I started a Pro Cyclist new game and I wonder if I must race every stage with a star symbol on it? Any tips on objectives?

The races with the stars are objectives for the team, not you. In Pro Cyclist you're not obligated to ride anything except the national and world championships (if you're selected). You ride the races you want to ride.
