Hmm, it seems like time trials in the middle of U23 races susceptible to bugs in general, a similar issue has been raised before. I don't think it's a database specific problem, but we'll take a look at maybe replacing these stages with road stages in future versions. If you want to do that for your current savegame, there's instructions for how to do that on the first page of this thread.
Thanks! Not much of a problem for me (I actually won the tour on final day through quick simulation ), but it would be great for this awesome database to have this working perfectly as well.
Problem of the ITT in most U23 Races is, that you must look if the AI took some riders out of any team, because the AI give the NCU races a higher priority. If there are one or more riders retired from the race, there is a problem in playing ITT's but i think only in U23. So look out if there is a NCU race for the young lads and change the date(s) of the race calendar of the NCU races, so that they don't took same date.
I am running a career mode in PCM 2020 with the Giro route from 2020 season, but in the following years, the giro route has been the same starting in Hungary in both 2021, 2022, 2023 and so forth, anyone know the reason why the stages doesnt change?
I have no problem in the other Grand Tours in France and Spain, stages change from year-to-year, but not for the Giro unfortunately - any expertise help is much appreciated?
I am in august 2023 now in my career mode and would like to have new stages in the season 2024, hope you are able to help me in time for the new season to begin.

We'll release the cdb file alongside the full DB, since that's always a work in progress. I know we've kept you guys waiting for a while (and it's really cool to know you're looking forward to it) but you have to be patient just a little longer
It is me being cool (sure we're waiting!) and politely inquiring if we should be expecting a long weekend with PCM 2021 edition?
Sorry for not answering earlier, your question got lost on the previous page. We couldn't give you last weekend, but you'll be able to enjoy the 2021 DB while watching the Giro, at least - check out the downloads section

That's really interesting, thanks for the insight. For our 2021 DB, we resorted to simply having one TT as the first stage, but for future releases, we will surely keep this in mind!

This is a bit weird, but there's an easy fix if you know your way around an editor. At the start of next season, load the STA_race table. There's the column gene_sz_currentvariant, where you can change whatever variant is used in that season. You'll find the names of the different variants by going to one-off race mode and clicking through the various profile options. It's possible that you also have to edit each stage in STA_stage (the Giro d'Italia has the race ID 135), I'm not 100%, you might have to test that. Hope this helps!
I am fairly new to cycling and I've come to love this game. My gameplay experience has greatly improved by this excellent database . I also experienced some of the concerns mentioned here like the trouble in loading stages and ghost rider in TT. However, my concern is the high amount of racedays my teammates are subjected too. Most of them have more than 100 racedays going as high as 115 so as you can see they are pretty banged up for my late season objectives. I only ever play the pro cyclist mode so I don't know about the career one. Is this a db issue or one of the many issues that pcm have?
PCM is known for bad AI planing, but I can't rule out that it's a DB issue either, since we've added lots of races. We also added lots of new teams to fill these races and in career mode, it usually works out reasonably well, but it's possible that race allocation works a little differently in pro cyclist mode. Race participations can be edited though, so if you'd consider using an editor, I could give you some instructions on how you'd proceed in order to have your team participate in fewer races total.
Thank you for the quick reply. I've downloaded the Lachi editor but I only used it to know the actual potential of my rider, never edited anything. I would love to learn how to cancel some race but only if that would mean that I only cancel some races and not do some actual planning, I'd like to interfere as minimally as possible. Also, I can't seem to pick a region whenever I create a new rider (blank options) for different nationality like US or Belgium for example. I'm using the 2020 EP 1.8 version btw.
