3. stage, Ras Tailteann - Salleh in top 10
For the finish of this three days stage race, it was a quiet race with a breakaway who was caught 5km to go.
In the last two km, we had in front Abraha, Mezgec, and our leader Salleh. One and a half km to go Mezgec started to make extremely fast leadout and he distanced from Salleh who had a small a couple of sec gap to the peloton.
Around 800m Salleh was managed to caught Mezgec but he burned out almost all from himself and he was caught from the peloton from behind.
Salleh finished 6th, Mustafa Carsi won the stage.

Apart from stage 1, it's certainly not bad what Salleh showed here. A very strong teamachievement overall as well.
Venter in Catalunya impressed me as well. Pogacar apparently is still trying to find his feet. Always relatively close to a podium on the U25 rankings, but not quite there yet. Only a matter of time though!

Yes, Salleh really did a nice result in the Ireland race. It will be even better at least in the last stage if Mezgec would go so hard or with that speed into the leadout but I know now that Luka is more for the second sprinter otherwise Salleh made a nice result and I was quite surprised at the end that we finished n 4th place in the team classification.
I think Pogačar will be dangerous next year when he will be even higher level with higher stats and he will be still under 25 if I remember correctly.
Venter did a nice result but at least he is missing a bit on sprint skills that he could finish in top places if he come to the finish in a smaller group.

Well hopefully I manage to survive PCT again this year and he gets to ride there next season
Although I do agree he would be much more dangerous in CT, but surely more chances for him this year still

Trofeo Laigueglia - Primožič in breakwawy and Barbin in top 10!
After 25km young Slovenian talent Jaka Primožič made to join the breakaway.
After the first three of the biggest climbs, he was still in a breakaway with 6 riders 30km the had a 2'02'' lead on Peloton.
In the last shorter hills peloton caught the first riders from the breakaway. Jaka was caught around 7km to go.

For this, we don't have any big expectations except for young riders to get some extra experience for next season.
We still hope for a miracle from Thomas Geraint but between that good competition, it will be extremely hard to get a result.
Pogačar will be finally able to ride on a race that his primary team Swisslion will ride too.

The race where we didn't expect anything.
The only bright light was an attack from Thomas where he joined the breakaway groupe for a couple of km.
The best result was by Tesfay Abraha in 46th place.
Another in a series of races where the result wasn't important. It was about to get younger riders more experience for next season.
At the start of the race, our British young talent James Knox joined the breakaway. 70km to go he attacked from the breakaway and he was caught 47km to go.
At the and Hardy was our highest placed rider on 28th place and just missed points.
Next race where we expect much better performance will be the Tour of Eritrea.

After a few C1 races which are more for train our young rider, we can finally count to get some points.
From our young Slovenian star Tadej Pogačar we expect to be at least Top 5 if not Top3 in the young classification.
Vener already proved that he is capable to collect points for mountain classification.
Barbin will be our main candidate in the 4th stage and Salleh will be with Mezgec our main candidate for the first two and the 5th stage.
We finally hope for some better results maybe even a stage win or at least points.

Plenty of chances for aggresive riding and stage results in Eritrea

Our guys were all day in a front with different teams control the race and breakaway group.

A bit of surprisingly we finished in the first place in a team clasification!

2nd stage, Tour of Eritrea, in the team classification we are in the first place!
Today was another good day for our team.
We didn't get a lot of points but as we are a first-year team these are great results.
After the early attack, our team was controlling the race with the Bralirwa team.
Venter and Pibernik got their first Kom points probably in the last Kom section.
A couple of teams and our riders started in front of the peloton strong pace which brakes the peloton into two groups. Our leader, Mezgec, and Pibernik all managed to be in a front group which meant we will get another top 10 place!
In the last km, Luka Mezgec started again with the too strong a lead out for Salleh which means he distance himself from our leader for a couple of meters.
a couple of hundred meters further Salleh managed to join Mezgec and started sprint for another great result.
The winner of the second stage is Luke Keough. Salleh managed to finish in 6th place which wasn't what we expected. Luka Mezgec finished in 12th place and Luka Pibernik in 14th place still in the first group!
Stage:
1 | Luke Keough | McCormick Pro Cycling | 3h36'30 | 2 | Asbjorn Kragh Andersen | Carlsberg - Danske Bank | s.t. | 3 | Sonny Colbrelli | Strava | s.t. | ------- | 6 | Mohamed Harrif Salleh | Trans Cycling Team | s.t. | 12 | Luka Mezgec | Trans Cycling Team | s.t. | 14 | Luka Pibernik | Trans Cycling Team | s.t. | 22 | Enrico Barbin | Trans Cycling Team | s.t. | 26 | Tadej Pogacar | Trans Cycling Team | s.t. | 56 | Jonathan Camargo | Trans Cycling Team | s.t. | 140 | Jaco Venter | Trans Cycling Team | s.t. | 156 | Mohammad Ganjkhanlou | Trans Cycling Team | + 3'57 |
GC:
1 | Luke Keough | McCormick Pro Cycling | 8h03'21 | 2 | Alexander Krieger | Tryg - Ritter Sport | + 8 | 3 | Asbjorn Kragh Andersen | Carlsberg - Danske Bank | s.t. | ------- | 7 | Luka Mezgec | Trans Cycling Team | +20 | 8 | Mohamed Harrif Salleh | Trans Cycling Team | s.t. | 14 | Luka Pibernik | Trans Cycling Team | s.t. | 39 | Enrico Barbin | Trans Cycling Team | +1'18'' | 74 | Tadej Pogacar | Trans Cycling Team | s.t. | 81 | Jonathan Camargo | Trans Cycling Team | s.t. | 136 | Jaco Venter | Trans Cycling Team | s.t. | 154 | Mohammad Ganjkhanlou | Trans Cycling Team | + 4'17 |
Points:
1 | Luke Keough | McCormick Pro Cycling | 37 | ------- | 8 | Luka Mezgec | Trans Cycling Team | 18 | 10 | Mohamed Harrif Salleh | Trans Cycling Team | 16 | 24 | Luka Pibernik | Trans Cycling Team | 2 |
KOM:
1 | Travis Meyer | Eddie Stobart | 20 | ------- | 6 | Jaco Venter | Trans Cycling Team | 3 | 10 | Luka Pibernik | Trans Cycling Team | 1 |
Team:
1 | Trans Cycling Team | 24h11'03 (1) |
This result after the first two stages wasn't expected even that we have more spreanter team at this race compare to teams who are going to GC. It was amazing to see the team so high but after today's mountain stage our team will be somewhere at the end of the team classification.
U25:
1 | Frederik Rodenberg | Tryg - Ritter Sport | 8h04'39 (1) | 2 | Connor W Brown | McCormick Pro Cycling | + 0 (2) | 3 | Magnus Bak Klaris | Tryg - Ritter Sport | + 0 (3) | ------- | 15 | Tadej Pogacar | Trans Cycling Team | + 0 (15) | 42 | Mohammad Ganjkhanlou | Trans Cycling Team | + 2'59 (42) |

3. Stage, Tour of Eritrea - Queen stage!
Es expected we didn't count to high places in GC but we were looking on U25 clasification for Tadej Pogačar, young Slovenian on loan from Swisslion Cycling Team.
Nico Keinath won the queen stage and Tadej Pogačar was the first to finish queen stage from our team on 55th place.
U25

4. Stage, Tour of Eritrea - Barbin in Top 10!
This was the stage where we expected a lot from Barbin!
Soon after the start, it started with a huge 27-rider breakaway group.
We weren't lucky to have any rider in.
After three cat climbs riders in the peloton started attacking and it came to different smaller groups. Our leader for this stage Barbin managed to go in the third group which was 23sec behind the leader.
Around 5km to the finished Barbin went to a downhill attack with another rider but they couldn't catch the group infront.
Valens Ndayisenga won the 4th stage, Tour of Eritrea!
Barbin finished in 8th place and first in the second group!

5. Stage, Tour of Eritrea - Salleh in third place!
The last first stage was our last big opportunity to get our first stage win.
After the long breakaway, they were caught in the last 10km of the 5th stage.
In the last 5km, we had 5 riders in the front, and in 1.5km we had our own lead-out train with Barbin, Mezgec, and Salleh our leader.
For the first time, Luka Mezgec did a really amazing lead-out for Salleh in the last kilometer.
In the end, Salleh didn't have enough power to finish in first place but he still finished in third place.
Winner of the 5th stage was Igor Boev in a front of Theo Reinhardt.

6. Stage, Tour of Eritrea - A disappointing performance by the whole team
It was the last stage and the most important one for Tadej Pogačar our leader for U25 general classification.
We knew that we didn't have a team for that kinda stage but we hoped that Pogi can keep 5th place in U25general classification.
After the start, there came to the breakaway immediately and we didn't have anyone in a front.
We hoped that Venter, Barbi, Camargo, and Pibernik could help Pogačar but in the end, the stage was to har for Pogačar and he finished 6min behind the winner Daniel Hoelgaard.
Stage:
1 | Daniel Hoelgaard | Tryg - Ritter Sport | 5h01'41 | 2 | Juan Ernesto Chamorro | Carrefour - ESPN | s.t. | 3 | Thibaut Pinot | Project: Africa | s.t. | ------- | 52 | Jonathan Camargo | Trans Cycling Team | +0'31 | 64 | Luka Pibernik | Trans Cycling Team | +1'25 | 86 | Jaco Venter | Trans Cycling Team | + 3'33 | 93 | Enrico Barbin | Trans Cycling Team | s.t. | 100 | Tadej Pogacar | Trans Cycling Team | + 6'05 | 106 | Luka Mezgec | Trans Cycling Team | +6'19 | 111 | Mohamed Harrif Salleh | Trans Cycling Team | + 7'09 | 143 | Mohammad Ganjkhanlou | Trans Cycling Team | +16'50 |

Strong and well suited lineups for all the upcoming one day races
Would be awesome to see the "home" team win in Izola or Lincoln
