Katrasnik is such a beast. Amazing how he does it again to lead a break to success.
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

Something tells me you won't be short of offers for him, even if you give just the slightest hint that he might be available

Confused why Kraftwerk didn’t chase, we better get some GC depth scoring from the guys who had a day off today.

James Oram <3 Really happy to see him delivering a stage win that early into the season. The step to CT already paid off for him and his new manager!
I see now why you liked him so much. Glad we've talked business

Well, to be honest, all day it looked like the three sprinter teams would come back and the expected three were working (including Kraftwerk), but when the descent started the peloton was really disorganized. It took until the descent ended (and it was too late) that trains were properly forming. When you got a guy like Katrasnik up front you need more than 5 km to make up for a minute or more
Then I think what made the difference in the end might have been Katrasnik spending more energy for the KoM-jersey with two attacks, while Oram was just chilling and mostly following in the last km's and started the final sprint in the third place. Adding those reasons gave him the edge over Katrasnik to finish it off Congratz Guave

What has transpired after Stage 1 was certainly ugly as Canelon's teammates had to calm him down - he was livid that the break wasn't caught earlier and that our team had to do the bulk of the work. We're assesing the situation here since this race is pretty much a write-off anyway as we didn't send Preidler (to be honest with the surrounding pieces he'd had the same disadvantage in TTT as in regualr TT), the others aren't posing a real threat to the GC guys (except maybe for Panayotov, whose MO stat pales in compairsion to the other climbers) and Canelon was our only hope for a stage win.

Certainly did not expect Gallopin, with 70 sprint and 73 acc, to be second only to Canelon in a bunch sprint, but I'll take it! Unfortunate for us that Oram and Kastranik managed to stay ahead, but a nice win for Guave. Congrats!

Thanks Nemo, good to know we did some chasing, a climb so close to the finish looked a potential disruption and so it proved

I'm really surprised that Munoz and Sotberg even managed to be in a breakaway group. Congrats to Katra.

Well, another 3rd place finish. It isn't perfect, but I'll take it - any top finish here is a plus for us.
Again, nice report by Nemolito

Woah, Vichot, you absolute madman! Fully expected him to blow up on the final kilometers, seeing how he went for every single intermediate sprint and summit, but he somehow still had enough left in the tank to stay away on the final meters. What an awesome ride, and fantastic to get the leader's jersey and KoM jersey too. There's absolutely no way he will still be in yellow after the TTT, but we should make it a goal to keep the KoM jersey until the end of the race. Will be hard though, with two C1 climbs on stage 4.
Thanks for another good report, Nemolito!

These climbs heading into the finish are causing a lot of problems for the peloton. Can't say I'm too surprised because the PCM AI has always liked to favor the breakaway on these type of stages. Happy Tenorio has stayed out of trouble and even sprinted to 5th. Bring on the TTT!

Woow Venter just made my day better with KOM points... if the finish wasn't good for my team. It's sad that breakaway couldn't come in a front of a peloton to the finish.

Congrats on the stage sykkel!
When Kastrasnik is in the break, it goes all the way it seems like

Congrats Sykkel and thanks for another great report Nemo
The DS must have had a go at the Kraftwerk riders for not chasing hard enough yesterday and put them on punishment duty chasing today!
Just one spot off the points in the finish Hopefully the chasing has warmed up the legs for the time trial.
