Hart finally fullfilling all of his potential of becoming the next Froome instead of the next Kennaugh |

Great fighting spirit from João. Sunweb really strong today. Impressive effort from Hindley!

Ineos must be drooling at Hindley today. |

Incredible, incredible stage. The dream lives on. My eyes can't believe that we have a portuguese rider fighting for a GT. ALLEZ JOÃO, VAMOS! |

Defended really well. Kelderman’s bad day hopefully to come, let’s believe it’s possible. Vamos! |

Anyone predicted that this Giro would be between Almeida and Kelderman? Crazy stuff. |

Who are Thomas and Nibs anyway?
Happy for all our portuguese friends here, rooting for almeida and quickstep!

2020 gets weirder every month we pass. Quick-Step has become a much more successful team in GTs than in classics.

Anyone remembering what I wrote about Sunweb a month or so ago?

Sunweb had the career best GT performances of Dumoulin, Barguil and Kelderman.
Barguil was one of the best climbers in Tour '17. Kelderman finished 4th in Vuelta '17. Dumoulin won Giro in '17 and finished 2nd in both Giro and Tour in 2018. Barguil has not even come close to his 2017 TDF performance at Arkea for instance. Sunweb 2017-2018 was very suspcicious imo. I thought they would be the team to overthrow Sky from the GT kingdom.
It looks like whatever they're using is working phenomenally, they just demolished the rest today with the exception of Geoghegan Hart. They also had a great season with Hirschi. I think Bardet's move to Sunweb may be extremely smart.
I also think Kelderman will win this Giro but will never reach a level close to this as he won't be with Sunweb next year.

Its definitely Kelderman's one shot to win a GT. He won't get better at Bora, they are not exactly the guys to get the max out of their GT riders I think

I agree. Bora are decent ( Buchmann was 4th in 2019 TdF and would ahve been on the podium without the TTT ) but not the greatest for contending in GTs, he will be more like Majka I guess.
I can't believe Wilco freaking Kelderman is the biggest favourite to win this.

Nibali did numbers very similar to his 2017 self here as well. Ridicolous numbers, especially after a TT. Insane performances all around this year, any clue why? |

I dont like being a pessimist but wasn't it announced that doping test were going to be much less frequent this season because of COVID?

Went around googlin' and did found some news from a few months ago that testing this year was going to be really hard in sport overall. Might explain some weird ass performances in a lot of sports.
Can't wait for Tokyo 2021 and see Bolt's record being beaten |

Or maybe it's just because the Giro field is incredibly weak this year. His nearest rivals were Wilko Kelderman and a 22 year old Portuguese rider riding his first grand tour, along with a couple of geriatric former contenders in Nibali and Fuglsang. It's not as if he has blown away the top riders at the Tour de France. Would that Sunweb team have destroyed the peloton at the Tour?
