So a little background. I am doing Pro cyclist mode in the second season and I ran into a problem in a final stage TT where I had to manually edit an AI rider out of race because the game was basically just sitting there with the rider in the start house and no one after him could do their ride. Turns out the rider was in another race and somehow did not get withdrawn from this race I was in. (I posted about it in another thread.)
So while I was in there using the editor I decided I was going to fix the typo mistake in my riders first name that bugged me every time I saw it.
So I didn't notice at first, but after that my rider stopped scoring World ranking points and stopped getting contract interest evolution for winning races.
So, I went in and his name was changed everywhere except either dyn palmares or dyn palmares cyclist. it was right in one and still wrong in the other. So I fixed the wrong one.
But it never fixed the problem in game and I have not gotten any points for my wins and places etc.
I looked in every other table and it always has his name right now.
So my question is, does the game us that table at the start of the season and if you change it in anyway mid season it won't record the results in rankings? I tried changing it back and it still won't record the points.
I should also point out it does record all of his results properly in his rider data career tab and on the front page it display and update proper number of victories and jerseys won etc.
I guess I am wondering
#1 if anyone knows anything that might help.
#2 if the problem will probably go away next season when it re-generated the world ranking list for riders.
#3 or if my game is screwed for good now.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
ETA: I would be more than happy to send someone with high experience at editing the CDB save a copy of my file to look at and see if they see anything out of place.

One other thought, I renamed the CDB file when I exporter the CDF file, so as not to rewrite the current one. Could that be a problem that the .cdb file has a new name?
I'm not that much of an expert so instead I'd just go back to the last unedited save. And just simulate the time trial.
Having just tried a name change with Lachi's Editor and PCM 20, it's true that the gene_sz_full_name doesn't get updated automatically when you edit first or last name. I think all you need to do is go to DYN_palmares_cyclist and change it there, the rest should update automatically. That should be all, I tried it out and the next race result appeared in the palmares.

Thanks Ripley. I had changed it in Palamares but apparently changing it mid season is a no no. Once the new season started it was fixed and I am collecting WC points and contract interest evolutions again.
Apparently it only inputs one of those at the start of the season, and if at any point in season it doesn't match u it doesn't collect the points etc.

In closing if you are going to edit your riders name do it at the very end of a season in last week of December, and check both Palmares and palmares_cyclist, because one of them needs changed as well.
