This is the Giro, not the Tour. Thomas won't even finish on the podium.
I hope so. Maybe it's just me being a pessimist. However, I'm not sure if all the mountain stages will be raced ( i.e. without any cancellations or shortenings ) because the weather/snow can be a problem in week 3 mountain stages.

Indeed! Only beginner will decide giro podium after first TT..even after first week mountains there is way to early to say anything.
Giro is best! |

EF were fined for their duck-like helmets yesterday as they weren’t registered in time.

Solid article, totally missed Vaughters reply on twitter. He claims (and tbh i always take whatever Vaughters says with a massive bag of salt (wonder how well that phrase translates for you mainland Europeans (is having a bracket side note inside a bracket side note a bad idear?))) that they did register the kit properly with the UCI. But because the UCI is, well, the UCI they "forgot" about this. He then says Lapartient had a very nice evening meal.
Anyway, 4500CH is nothing for the extra publicity ontop all the column inches already written on these kits.
If only the cycling media saw the man-game peloton!!!

Such propaganda bullocks.
So well completed squad..much better then tour? What ? How you can tell that after TT. P.s. Tour squad looked like 75% stronger..at paper. |

Oh no! A British commentator on a British channel commentating to a British Audience. It's almost as if it was called British Eurosport....oh wait, it is.
Why do people watch a British channel and complain that they concentrate on the British teams/riders. It's like me watching the coverage on S4C and complaining that the commentary is in Welsh.

They know viewers numbers outside Great Britain..why not to be more international. To keep these viewers in their channel? |

Fuglsang will just have to pull a Pogacar and use another teams train for the whole Giro. He will probably just sit on Thomas and Yates wheels for the whole race now.

Well, Vaughters is an hypocrite, he claimed numerous times that doping does not exist in peloton despite evidences to the contrary. He also did not close the team after Danielson doping case, despite saying that he would ( IIRC ).
Sad to see Vlasov retire, was hoping for him to fly up the climbs.

Except Thomas doesn't have a train.

Good recovery from Sagan but guess the effort was too much to catch Ulissi... |

He's got more of a train than Astana have now. No team at the Giro has a true "train" for the mountains. But Fuglsang baely has a team in the mountains at the moment. He will have to follow wheels in the mountains and hope he doesn't get isolated too often.

Kinda hyped for tomorrow's stage. Should be some interesting fireworks on Etna. One my favorite climbs in cycling.
Allez Almeida! |
