It would be lost then indeed !
The OR Goal basically is for the bands mainly, even though being potentially used elsewhere as well.
If you want to use it as a GT decider, you might risk going for the wrong PTHC band in the end.
That said, prio 1 might help already and usually works anyway. With the addition of more bands similar to HC, it should help as well to get your prio 1 band anyway I guess.
That said, no guarantee as sometimes all want the same one band. |

Portugal was added the needed info for the profile.
Dauphine and Suisse is worked on.
With Nederlands being the 2018 profile for more punchy sprinters, this hopefully is enough for everyone to finish goals.
In especially those waiting with renewals. |

What about Balkans International?

If you're done with renewals, is it okay to wait for the post-renewals DB before selecting goals?
Seems like the link to the calendar doesn't work btw.!
Based on your answer to this I was waiting for the post-renewals db to do goals, Did I miss it or is that something I can still wait for?

You can wait I guess, but there really is no point

We definitely have to do sth about PTHC Band 5. Its just way too OP in terms of point scoring compared to the other bands. The average team getting into that band will earn 50% more (literally) than the average team in some other bands which is ridiculous from a fairness and balance point. Combining two of the stage races to a single longer one or similar actions have to be taken for sure.
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

I can't disagree really. Band 5 does stand out.
Not sure what the best solution is. Maybe take Slovenia (5) and Corsica (3) from Band 5 and switch it with either Balkans (8) or Maroc (8).

There’s a lot of value in seeing what riders are available / wage of potential targets, particularly if you’re unsure about what terrains you’re going to target.

A small calendar update, which was needed.
Please check if this has impacted your goal choices in case you already have PMed them!
In case, please PM me your old and new options directly.
Main changes:
PTHC Bands 4-5-6 slightly changed with HC impact.
- Tour of East Java into band 4
- African Cobble Race into band 6
- Riga - Jurmala into band 5
- Cheshire Cycling Tour new in PTHC band 5 while Corsica International and Omloop Het Nieuwsblad went into band 3 of HC as replacement
Also the exact date for GP Izola is now in the calendar with Vancouver, Portugal, Arenberg, Maroc having the correct race days in the monthly overview.
With those changes, expect the band choices for PTHC and HC start very soon. So please already consider your options to have them fast available.
The profile forum also was updated a lot recently and still is here and there. So the needed information is almost always available. |

Back to the drawing board
Portugal has been shorted to 7 instead of 9 days in the February overview, hence not showing the clash with Hong Kong/Herning

All the profile threads have now been updated with race clashes and lists of previous winners. The thread titles of races that have changed category have also been updated.
The race list thread has also been updated with all the changes.
In the calendar file there is a small error that shows Tour de Vineyards has 6 stages in the month of August. Tour de Vineyards has 7 stages which is written correct everywhere else. The error has no bearing on the race clashes, they remain the same as written in profile thread.

I just went through the clashes & profiles - thanks a lot for your great work!
I just noticed a few inconsistencies/errors:
- In the profiles section, we have "Pro Hallstatt Classic"; in the calendar it's "Pro Halstatt Classic". Minor detail, but they should be called the same. I guess Hallstatt with double "l" is correct.
- The Giro profile is missing the clash with GP Izola (C2). Furthermore, Corsica is HC, not PTHC.
- Fleche Wallone profile: The conflicting Cheshire Cycling Tour is PTHC, not HC.
- Tour de Slovenie: Thread should be renamed to Tour of Slovenie, according to the calendar.
- Tour d'Andorra: Clash should be Rio Vista Chinesa. Nitpicking.
Great job, thanks again!

Yes, I did clashes for PT and PTHC before the changes and I forgot to re-edit some of those
Thanks for pointing it out, fixed now
Regarding the names not withstanding typos, I agree we should have a consensus when it comes to names like "Tour de Slovenie", "Tour of Slovenie", "Tour of Slovenia" etc. I can change accordingly no problem, but I guess it gets mixed up in the process. Same with Hallstatt. At least it's not a big error, so we still know which race it is

Half of the CT now has their goals in (10/20) if anyone is keeping count as we countdown to the shame lists.

Thanks for those:
The official files now will have it like:
- Tour of Slovenie (might be not 100 % accurate to RL, but just like Emelia is a MG world typo)
- Pro Hallstatt Classic
So whoever can quickly check, those should be the names in the race profiles thread.
Also the African Cobbled Race will be Franceville Classique in Gabon. The profile is finished and will be uploaded asap. As said in the thread, flat and some cobbles. |
