That's weird, the only thing I can think of is that for some reason the cdb didn't download properly. Maybe try it once more with this one.
Thanks!
But this one need to correct some of the riders name, like Pogacar, Roglic
In this DB is Poga ar, Rogli, etc... |

Yes, for some reason one of the recent patches made those letters unusable, one of the many mysteries of the developers of this game. Will be fixed in the update.

And in Cadel Evans Ocean Race (wings v1) in the last 4 or 5 kms not possible see the floor, there are a lot of jungle and plants

I have downloaded and installed it following the instructions. But I am not sure if it has worked.
Two things I noticed, that made me doubt:
Ramunas Navardauskas is called Ramknas
B&B Hotels still have Brittany as important region |

As Ineos, having Italy and Colombia as important territories (dyn_sponsor_regions) gives weird objectives. Deleting Italy and Colombia and setting UK importance to the value '2' in the db seems to fix it, the objectives look now correct. |

So i downloaded the db and all the updates, followed the "how to install" guide but when i start my game and i start a new career my game crashes.. reinstalled the game and the db and it still crashes. My "officialrelease.cdb" keeps changing when i start the game and when i replace it when i'm in the game and start my career it crashes again. Tried to download it trough a link posted by someone in this discussion and still the same. My game just keeps crashing over and over again and i don't know how to fix it, i think i tried every option availaible.. |

top_nice_04_2013.zces doesn't seem to be valid, even after re-extracting from the expansion pack rar it still gives the "Stage needs reexport" message. Reporting here as it sounds like maybe it should get removed from the pack, based on https://pcmdaily....st_1363584
I know how to use Lachi's editor, can anyone tell me how to swap that stage out with another in an active save so I can continue? I'd rather not have to simulate it or race it totally broken on the fallback parcours.
Or if I'm doing something wrong / there is another way to fix, I'd appreciate a heads up. Thanks. |

Just a quick update. You can fix this by opening up your save in an editor and going to the "STA_stage" table, searching for the variant name, e.g. "top_nice_04_2013" in the "gene_sz_variant" field, then changing that to another variant, which you can find in the CM_Stages directory within your PCM install. I changed it to "top_nice_04_2014". |

A new patch just came out. Does that mean you have to install the database all over again and start a new game or how does that effect things? |

Just as a quick addition for anyone who is experiencing problems like this and doesn't know how or want to work with an editor, another option is to simply rename the stage files in the PCM steam folder (CM_Stages) to those of a working variant.

Looking at the patch notes, the patch should have no impact on the DB at all.

It appears to have messed up the calendar for me. It looks like it has removed all the new races in the DB. |

In a career that you had started with our DB prior to the patch? Does anyone else have this problem?

I had a pro cyclist career that I started before the patch that seems to be ok. However I just tried starting a new pro cyclist career and all the new races seem to have disappears (January is pretty empty now).
The patch messed about with the start of the Giro, moving it to Sicily from Hungary. I wonder if that has something to do with it?

You're right, they probably updated the cdb to include the new stages, overwriting ours. If you simply paste our cdb file back into the documents folder, it should be back to normal.

Yep you're right. This is how I fixed it, not sure if I needed to do all the following but seems to work.
1. I copied the Local.cdb and OfficialRelease.cdb files from the "PCM.daily Expansion Pack u1.rar" into the following location:
D:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Pro Cycling Manager 2020\Database
2. I copied the Local.cdb into the following location:
C:\Users\[USER_NAME]\Documents\Pro Cycling Manager 2020\Mod\Default
Calendar is now back to normal. Not sure if the things the patch fixes (e.g. attacking at end of mountain stages are no longer fixed though????)
Looking at the dates of the files it appears that just the .cdb files; some stages and the boot files were altered by the patch.
I assume the Giro will now start in Sicily unless you revert to the stages in the PCM Daily mod?
I'll update if I find any more issues.

I'm relatively (though not 100%) sure that the AI behaviour is not related to the cdb files, so that should still be good. The Giro stages depend on if the names of the new files match the respective variant, which they probably do. Let us know if you still have the first three stages in Hungary.

I've started a career game to see what stages are at the start of the giro. Looks like it still starts in Hungary (certainly no Etna on stage 3). No issues so far.
Thanks for all the help cunago59!! |

No problem! There's a very simple solution to having the Giro start in Sicily while still using our DB. The stages that have been added by the patch are named "top_giro2_2020_XX". If you go to the game's steam folder and then to CM_Stages, you can sort by date last changed and find them near the top. If you remove the 2 from the files for the first three stages (so turn "top_giro2_2020_01.cds" to "top_giro_2020_01.cds" and do the same for the zces file, and both for 02 and 03 as well), they will replace the stages our DB uses (the ones in Hungary).
