The first rider picked up by our cameras is Mottin. He sets the fastest time at each intermediate so far, with a final time of a 1h1'10".
Nareklishvili goes close at the first intermediate but fades later, to be 40 seconds down.
Howson is just 7 seconds down at the first intermediate. He crosses the intermediate in 2nd place, and also finishes with the second best time so far, slower by 29 seconds.
Van Winden is just 2 seconds down at the first time check. As with the others the gap increases in the next sectors and he ends up 13 seconds slower.
Hepburn nearly matches Nareklishvili's time through all the time checks and ends up with the same time at the finish.
Nelson Oliveira is slower at each intermediate and ends up a further 10 seconds down.
Janse Van Rensburg puts in a fast final sector but he's still off the pace by 33 seconds.
Yatsevich clocks in 2 seconds slower at the first intermediate. He's 8 seconds off at the second intermediate. He rides an excellent final sector to remain 8 seconds lower and move in 2nd.
Wurtz is a little slower and finishes with a time 15 seconds down to slot into 4th.
Roy Goldstein matches Wurtz at the first time check but falls off a little afterwards to be 19 secodns down at the finish.
Dumoulin doesn't have a good day. He sets a time 43 slower than Mottin's.
Leung starts well, being 7 seconds down at the first time check. He loses a further 10 seconds in the second sector. He improves on the third sector by a second but it's only good enough for 5th at the moment.
Jungels woo, has an excellent final sector but time lost earlier means he's 19 seconds down.
Gonzalez Salas starts off losing 7 seconds in the first sector. He loses a further 6 seconds in the second sector. He improves dramatically on the final sector, to end up just 7 seconds down at the finish, and in 2nd place.
Malori has a disappointing ride, 45 seconds off the pace.
Hansen does somewhat better, losing 33 seconds.
Vagstad loses 7 seconds in the first sector. He's down 11 seconds after the second sector. He pulls off an incredible final sector to take the lead with a final time of 1h1'10"!
Vlatos immediately does better, despite of losing a second at the first intermediate. His time to beat is 1h0'45".
Paillot has a terrible run, being almost a minute down.
Sutterlin doesn't do much better, being 48 seconds off the pace.
Brandle is slightly better, losing 33 seconds to Vlatos.
Zmorka takes the lead at the first intermediate, the first one to beat Mottin in this sector. He keeps his lead through the second intermediate and posts a time of 1h0'23".
Viviani, Uran and Cattaneo have a poor day, each losing more than a minute with the first losing almost two minutes to Zmorka!
Fiedler can't beat Zmorka's time, going 7 seconds, 3 seconds and 5 seconds slower at each time check, ending up 15 seconds slower. This is good enough for 2nd place.
Keizer posts a time just a second slower than Fiedler.
Kritskiy starts off 10 seconds slower, improves that by a second at the second intermediate, but eventually loses a further couple of seconds to be 2nd behind Zmorka.
Phinney improves the best time best 4 seconds at the first time check. He blows away the best time to be already 23 seconds at the second time check. He posts the best time in the first pass of the circuit, and is the only one to be inside the hour mark - 59'52".

After a couple of hours of rest, the riders are back out to tackle the course yet again, this time going in the opposite direction. The riders will start this time in the reverse order in which they finished Part 1.
The first time being considered competitive is set by Kowk, who didn't do well in Part 1. He sets a first intermediate time of 15'10", followed by 45'48" in the second time check and a final time of 1h2'29".
Cataford is another rider looking to improve this time. He's 2 seconds down at the first check but posts the best time at the second. He posts the new time to beat at the line - 1h2'9".
Paillot looks to improve quite a bit but he has to be content with 2nd place at the moment, 3 seconds slower than the best time.
Howson posts the fastest time at the first intermediate. He loses some ground in the second sector, falling 2 seconds off the pace. However, he recovers in the final sector to post the new best time of 1h2'2".
Sutterlin ties Howson's time at the first intermediate. A poor second sector pushes him 9 seconds down and he can only recover some of it to be 2nd at the finish, 5 seconds off the pace.
Roy Goldstein starts really well to be within 3 seconds of the best time. However, he fades considerably in the second sector to fall well short at the end.
Wurtz posts the best time in the first sector. He too loses time in the second sector. He recovers to post exactly the same time as Howson at the finish.
Uran doesn't do himself justice, going 27 slower than the fastest time.
Van Winden is just a second off the pace at the first time check. He keeps the pressure on throughout, finishing just 3 seconds down.
Brandle is another rider who loses time in the middle sector after a good start. His recovery in the final sector can only get him up to 5th, 12 seconds down.
Yatsevich posts the fastest time at the first intermediate. He loses 12 seconds in the second sector. Despite a fast final sector, he is a second short at the finish.
Gonzalez Salas is a little off-colour considering his morning run. He ends up 13 seconds down.
Mottin is even worse and is 28 seconds slower than Wurtz and Howson.
Vangstad is another who flattered to deceive in the earlier run. He's down by 34 seconds here.
Sergent is just 5 seconds off the best time at the first check. He drops a further 8 seconds in the second sector. He improves considerably but still falls short by 3 seconds at the finish.
Vlatos posts the fastest time in first sector before tying the same in the second. He goes to improve the best time to 1h1'51".
Keizer improves the first sector marker by a whole 10 seconds! He keeps his momentum going to post the best time in the middle sector and also the finish. He improves the previous mark by a whole minute - 1h0'51" is the new time to beat.
Fiedler starts really well, being just a second down at the first time check. He loses some time over the remainder of the course to slot into 2nd in this run, 16 seconds behind Keizer.
Kritskiy can't replicate his morning run but is still 3rd after his run, albeit 41 seconds off the pace.
Zmorka loses all the advantage he had built on his immediate rivals in the first run. He loses 1'24" in this run, with bad times in both the middle and final sectors.
Phinney starts off tying Keizer's time at the first intermediate. He really comes into his own in the middle sector, improving the best time by 11 seconds. He does slow down a bit towards the end, but is still 3 seconds better than anyone else in this run.

As expected, Taylor Phinney is a class above the rest in a race that has become his personal dominion for the past four years. Keizer does really well to finish 2nd, above the more fancied Fiedler. The latter's team should also be quite happy with this result.
