Pro Cyclist leveling up

Hi all,

I wonder if there is a list of what to expect when leveling up.
Sometimes I can choose which stats of my cyclist I want to upgrade (ie. attacker, climber, sprinter etc) and sometimes the game won't let me.
so for instance it must be like: At level 12 you get to choose this upgrade and an ability and at lvl 13 you get only the ability..
Does anyone have a list of this?

I can't tell you if things have changed this year, but in PCM 19, it worked as follows:

The max level is 37.
You gain an ability point every level.
You get to improve your stats or potential at levels 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 19, 22, 25, 28, 31, 34 and 37.
I think you gain access to .Pro races at 6, to WT races at 9, to monuments at 11, to Giro/Vuelta at 13 and to the Tour at 15. Don't quote me on the last few of those though, it could be 11 for Giro/Vuelta and 13 for Tour too, you'll see that in your calendar at the start of a season if your team rides them and you haven't unlocked them yet.

Cyanide seemingly did even worse this year with upgrades though - I have my 19 year old climber at 82 Mountain already at the end of year 1...

For the last few years i have been editing my rider for that same reason.

His best skill is set at max 73 in the first year, max 76 in the second year and in the third year i do a potential upgrade. It keeps me more sane....and i end up with a well rounded rider as it comes to his secondary stats.
