The last ranking saw Azteca claiming the lead with 250 points advantage over NENT, Euskaltel, Netia, GCN and Bianchi being the main teams fighting for promotion.
Period Ranking (-Bulgaria)
This update here sees 2 C2HC events in Benelux Challenge and Vilnius GP, couple of C1 events with Celtic Chrono, Bayern, Nantahala, Macskako Kerek followed by 3 C2 races in San Luis, Sakartvelo and USA PCC.
Who did best and how does the promotion fight has changed?
In short. Azteca clearly will remain top seat being best team of this period once again. Not only Chaves a bit surprising win in Benelux, but also the performance in Bayern by Eastman and the team performance in Nantahala or San Luis kept them scoring.
Euskaltel best of the rest with a strong San Luis and decent scorings in most races they participated while direct rivals NENT and Netia lost out a bit being put under pressury by GCN as well, who were having a great Benelux as well.
Other than that Glanbia, DK Zalgiris or Equinor all had a decent run lately. Most might come too late for big changes really but in CT, you never know what position might become valuable.

The full ranking as said saw Azteca opening a big gap now, actual a fourth of their total being the advantage to Euskaltel and NENT, which have swapped but are really close together now.
GCN and Netia also swapped and being a bit behind. Though both looking good for now to defend the top5 spot having quite a gap to both Bianchi and DK Zalgiris.
The Tour of America might change a bit here, looking on the race days without knowing the ToA startlist, GCN actually might be the team to look out for having easily the best PpRD next to Azteca.

While Adriatic was able to defend the lead without scoring, La Vie Claire is coming very close now having had good performances in San Luis and Sakartvelo moving up to 2nd ahead of Signal Iduna.
Also Festina Canal with a great 46 point scoring in a classic in Sakartvelo sees them moving up a spot.

Individually not a lot of changes at the top. The top5 remains the same order wise despite some scorings. Eastman still in the lead with Bayern Rundfahrt giving him some needed points as Holloway in 2nd did decent in USA PCC as well.
Nothing in this period for the others, which sees Kasperkiewicz moving up as now best cobbler of the division after doing well in Benelux while Nibali, Maes, Valls remain in the top10 as well.
Keough with a small jump after proving his sprint skills once more in his home race, which sees both Moser and Intxausti drop a bit.
Bigger jump for Chaves up to 13th from 25th after winning Benelux being already the 3rd Azteca rider in the top13.

A good period for us! Azteca obviously far too good for everyone but it’s pretty tight in that Top 5. Doesn’t look like anyone else has much of a chance of breaching the current Top 5.
We’re basically on par with Nent so that’ll be a good fight to follow. GCN will need a good ToA to really see their RD advantage count. Realistically it’ll be pretty tight from 2nd to 4th but you can’t rule out a late push from Netia either!
For us. Nibbles continues to perform and will hopefully end the season in that Top 10 of the individual rankings. Moser still performing somewhat but will need to score well for us as the season comes to a close if he wants to go back into the Top 10. Borisavljevic has been quality for us and I won’t complain if he ends the season in the Top 20. Costa with a gain thanks to his win in San Luis but really should be well inside the Top 20.
Good luck to all in the final part of the season!

Another fantastic stretch for us, and that is without Bulgaria involved which is an Eastman race and certainly a chance for another big chunk of points. The show from here on though will rely on the continued climb of Chaves who features in over half of our remaining races.

Well I predicted a decent stretch that could bring us to 7th did happen, and the rest of calendar doesnt look too bad for us either. If Siskevicius breaks out of his slump he can get us extra 150 at least. 5th is probably out of reach, but you never know, goal right now is to finish 6th

Falling slightly further off the pace for Signal Iduna but plenty of RDs in hand and in the amateur division it's such fine margins that a big result changes everything, so all still in the balance. Would be really cool if we could win it
24/02/21 - kandesbunzler said “I don't drink famous people."
15/08/22 - SotD said "Your [jandal's] humour is overrated"
11/06/24 - knockout said "Winning is fine I guess. Truth be told this felt completely unimportant."

Very cool stuff by our Amateur Team, let's keep pushing! No way Mygind stays without a contract, was a big surprise none of the Danish teams picked him up last year...

I'm starting to wonder what went wrong...AGAIN.
Yet another mediocre part of the season - I can't go on like this.

Quite happy with the period actually, seeing us in 9th despite a lousy USAPCC. I'm a bit surprised by our points average went down nonetheless - but given that we're considered to have done 27RDs, I guess the 5 days in Bulgaria are already counted in these, but with 0 points obviously.
It's quite a shame to see that our best rider (103 points more than the 2nd best) actually is a draft pick... OK, of course we did get him a good sprint train, but I'm rather disappointed especially with our climbers so far. Seems like they're missing 1-2 stat points, and then they could gain much more points.
It's going to be a tough fight for 15th, which is our sponsor's goal, but it still seems to be doable. I'm a bit afraid of the Tour of America points our main contenders are likely to get, though...

Jeepers, a good month for Glanbia. Our target of a top 15 now looks very safe. No big stars but good team performances all adding up |

Projected points make me nervous about our top15 goal. The good news for McCormick is that what really matters for us is not PpRD by PpHolloday, and he still has over a third of his days left. If he keeps up his pace we score 300 with just him. No pressure Dan.
