PCM.daily Stat Discussion

I'd up his sprint even more, look at who he beat in Samyn and also his other wins at Zwolle and Rucphen.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

These races happened in 9 days, his last season (- the Dutch u23 NC) would not justify his stats. He seems not to be a pure sprinter, but more of a great sprinter after hard races. With 72 Sprint he is a top class CT sprinter. While he has the speed after a tough race, we don't know yet how fast he is in a pure sprint (without having the strongest leadout in Jordi Meeus).

In the next update, can you lower the potentials of the riders (regens and real)?, In career, after the third season, it's impossible to play because there are too many strong cyclists and the market is not fair.

1st thing: You sure you don't have random potential ticked? Cause we try to avoid that by not giving Potential 8 to prevent such situation .

2nd thing: It needs a change of the xml files if you wanna change the manner of how the riders develop. We're currently testing XMLs we found, but we can't assure that we find something that works better than the current system. If you have any ideas please let me know.

3rd thing: For the generated regens it's the same case as point 2. It would need editing capacities we don't have (regarding xmls), but we'd happily take files if somebody created good ones to implement them into our db.

You can also edit the progression speed in the cdb.

Is the advise for realistic cyclist progression still updating the STA_Cyclist_Progression table to following values:

0.5
0.75
1
1.25
1.5

Or are there other / better methods?

In the thread it says it no longer works, but Im almost certain it still does because comparing my stats to stats of other peoples careers with the same db, by season 3, the top riders ratings are closer to what they started out as. Less regens are already top riders etc. No ones hit 85 in anything. Even in comparison to my pro_cyclist career which I didn't alter which is only in S2, the stats are much higher in my Pro Cyclist career.

Heres what I set mine to:

Yes he was the most impressive climber and could be an 82 but we thought 81 would be better as he does have a history of inconsistency. Also as an actual stat for consistency (injury, crashing etc) doesn't exist we try to incorporate it into a rider's stats somehow. The closest stat that we have is the rec stat which can give riders bad days along with race and daily form.

If the Tour de France goes ahead that will be the time to reevaluate his mtn stat BUT I doubt personally that the Tour will go ahead. If any more members on here want him 82 that we will put that.

He was the strongest, the strongest by far is too much.

Then that would be 82.

Remember that Bernal has been both a lot more consistent on high mountains apart from Le Tour and Pinot also has the better hill stat to back him up.

Arberg
82: Pinot, Bernal.
81: Froome.
80: Nibali, Thomas, Quintana, Yates S, Kruijswijk, Carapaz, Buchmann, Pogacar.
79: Landa, Bardet, Roglic, Dumoulin, Urán, López.
78: Porte, Yates A, Barguil, Valverde, Martin D, Mas E, Mollema.
77: Fuglsang, Alaphilippe, Zakarin, Martin, Aru.

I'm not sure if that last part should be the case. Benral had a good autumn campaign last year with a win in Piemonte, podium Lombardia and some other minor results. Of course Pinot has won Lombardia in the past, but they shouldn't be that far apart in Hill imo.

Guys Alaphilippe with 75 in SPR if you play in flat stages he is always in TOP 5 or similar like Ewan, Viviani, Ackermann, etc etc... I think that Alaphilippe with 74 its enough

We have changed this and you are correct and was an oversight by me and he's now 74. We had the same problem some years ago with GVA where these type of riders with high acc start to compete with the true sprinters in flat stages and this tends to happen from 75 sprint upwards. So these riders need to be capped at 73 and 74 sprint.

Can somebody give me a screen of the Bahrain - McLaren team from the 2020 database?

Thanks in advance.

Hey guys,

Somehow a long shot but I'm updating an old historic DB and would like some insight on the stats.

The DB is the 2010 one (the one on Steam) and I disagree with a lot of stats so I've downloaded the Daily one and I'm slowly updating it. Now the game has changed over the years and so has the stat matrix.

Can someone clued on this give some insight to have good balance? Between potential, the stats for resistance/endurance and so on.
