Closely scouting Houle here as this should be the first idea how well hilly sprinter will behave on easier hilly stages. Go Houle!

That's a good point actually! I always brought Waeytens here and the jetlag killed him for the rest of the season.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Not in attendance here, but as others highlight, will be paying close attention to race dynamics, and keeping an eye on how our peers are performing in these early races. Hoping for some good AI to provide exciting race action!

I hope this means Houle is treating himself as a GC contender

So far a 34th and a 87th place respectively. This is going to be a long season.

Had minor hopes for Docker to appear in the sprints, but apparently he's far behind in the pack
Great stuff from Miltiadis though! Breakaways is all we need here and he did not only join the first break, but also grab the first KoM lead. That's nice, obviously, even though he probably won't hold onto it until the end.

Solid third from Zabel to kick off the season in a messy sprint. Beating Degenkolb or Guarnieri is a tough ask. Simon Yates in 103rd is a little concerning though.
Congrats to fellow Spanish rival Iberia - Team Degenkolb on the win.

Waeytens is starting to rub off on the rest of your squad

I'm joyful to see that Europcar is mixing it up in front in every mass sprint participation we've had so far. We just need to keep Lo Cicero on Modolo's wheel and maybe we'll win some day too |

Nice to see Guarnieri get over the final climb in a good position and still have enough power to pull off a very long sprint, when he couldn't quite catch Kreder's wheel. A 2nd place for Guarnieri and 7th for Kreder is a very good start to the race, and nice to see Schreurs staying well out of trouble as well.

Not exactly the start I was hoping for but its good to see Edmondson lose no time! Hopefully he can continue that in the stages leading up to Willunga Hill

Another disappointing sprint from Ciolek, luckily a few more chances in this race. Bilbao not losing any time is good and great to see young Christodoulos in the breakaway, fighting for KOM's and sprints
Congrats to Degenkolb for a deserved win

Conreatz to Iberia and McCormick with the stage wins.
Our only hope was to get in those breaks - so far with no luck.
Thanks to roturn for great reports.

Good lead-out, but Guarnieri didn't have the legs this time it seems. I hope Lobato can get involved in the train eventually too, so that Kreder doesn't have to go as early as he has these first two stages.
Congrats to McCormick! Great win for Holloway
