Maral-Erdene Batmunkh wrote his name into MG legend when he became the highest paid Amateur last season, all thanks to Becherovka - Petrof. 6th place at the C2 Lillestrom GP showed what he can do. Euskaltel - Elior love a late cobbled rider signing, and have made him their choice, as we end the first round of the draft.
Round 2 will pick up after a short break. |

All hail Batmunkh - king of the meme names, and actually quite a decent CT-level rider at the same time. His time in the amateur ranks last year obviously caught the attention of Euskaltel, and although on a bread and water contract this season, he has plenty of savings in the bank from last year to fall back on!

CyclingMews is reporting in their live-feed that security has been called to the hotel bar more than once already as an increasingly drunken ISA - Hexacta head-honcho Scorchio has incensed more than one CT manager with his loud outbursts. Our compere for the day SN has already asked him to settle down on multiple occassions, and one has to wonder if the MGUCI may impose some punishment for his conduct under rule 12.4 - c.(D) - ungentlemanly conduct or rule Z.Z.z.Z - being an annoying bar-steward.

Let's start Round 2 with a who? Mohammed Al Murawwi. Don't you remember? He finished 20th in the 2017 Asian Time Trial Championships for the United Arab Emirates. Clearly Euskaltel - Elior remembered. |

Samuel Coronel had a couple of reasonable PCT seasons with Azteca in 2015-16, but the Paraguayan had to rely on an Amateur contract last season. NENT Racing p/b Hootsuite bring him back into the professional fold. |

Uri's a nice pick-up. One of the riders in MG DB who is closest to an all 70+ stat-line (67 lowest stat). Makes him very useful to fill in on pretty much every terrain when working with a small squad (as is the definition in CT) - a race planner file dream!.
